Wow! that is a very significant accomplishment. People have been trying to film one of these things alive for a very long time. These things grow big, I've heard of several specimens that have washed ashore, and they say the eyes are the size of soccer balls. Pretty amazing news, the scientific community should be abuzz with this.

005, it is a huge finding! I like science alot, so I keep up with stuff like that. Scientists have been trying to film one alive for at least 20 yrs, and I mean really actively looking, lots of research dollars spent. Discovery channel puts on a special almost annually, and documents the frustrations of searching for such a long time, and the only thing they ever had was specimens that washed up on shores. These guys will probably be bigger than the guys that found Titanic, at least in the scientific community. Pretty cool for them, they got very lucky. These things supposedly attack blue whales, because the whales have the tentacile marks on their body. Huge Huge find for those scientists.

Yeah i like science too, but i just never really follow oceanography or marine biology, but that's freakin awesome that they found the things. I just wouldn't ever want to cross that thing in a dark alley
