Well, last week was .500 (3-3) which moved me to 12-6-2 on the season (.666) -- 6 games above 500 is good -- but let's see if we can't improve on that this week. Here's my favorite 6 plays of the week:

Michigan State (-10) @ Illinois
Boston College (+3) @ Clemson
Colorado (+14) @ Miami
Arizona State (-7) @ Oregon
@ Virginia Tech (-11.5) Georgia Tech
@ Minnesota (-4) Purdue

What do you think?

Minnesota is favored over purdue?

I disagree with your last three picks. Upset special of the week is Oregon State over Arizona State.

Yeah the Beavers will come out firing in that game.

For some reason, this statement makes me laugh. :D

Don't the Beavers have a big hole on defense? :D

Sweet..... And my bets are made this week. I got 6.

Michigan State -10 / Illinois
Colorado +14 / Miami
Notre Dame -14 / Washington
Virginia Tech -11 1/2 / Georgia Tech
Purdue +4 / Minnesota
LSU -7 / Tenn

Should be fun!

I have a small feeling that the Colorado bet is a good one, that game might be closer than one thinks.

Well, everyone disagreed with my A&M pick last week..so we'll have to wait til Saturday to see how things turn out...

I disagree with your last three picks. Upset special of the week is Oregon State over Arizona State.

You don't think Virginia Tech will beat Georgia Tech by at least 12? Tech won't have Ball...even if they had Ball, they'd probably have been 6 point underdogs.

Little Vick is getting better each game and they'll beat GT by a minimum of 13. I gar-on-tee (say it with a Cajun voice). :D

And sorry, but Arizona State is G-O-O-D this year. They have this game then USC. The only way they get beat is if they overlook Oregon for USC...but since they just lost to LSU, i'm sure they are focused and ready to do what they have to do to put the game away.

Vly, I'm with you all the way with V.Tech. I said on a thread somewhere (Sunday) even before they had the line that I was going with them no matter what the line was. I think they roll.

Your biggest may-be is the Minnesota/Purdue game. I betted on Purdue but it's almost a coin flip I think. Maybe not the smartest bet out there for anybody.

And Arizona St. almost beat LSU. That game was C L O S E. And alot of people on this board are putting LSU pretty high on thier Aggiefans. Top 25.

They are good, but you know how the Pac 10 is each year. Teams wins shootouts every week. Who ever has the ball last usually wins! Oregon State has a damn good QB and some great WR's. I don't think Arizona State can stop their offense and I don't think Oregon State cans stop Arizona State's offense. So, its a toss up at this point.

Oregon State 45
Arizona State 37

I think it will be close too

Agreed, Minnesota was a stretch, but I just think their offense is too powerful. Unless Purdue's D shows up, they'll be in for a tough game. I just don't think Purdue has the offensive firepower to match Minnesota. Minnesota's not a cupcake on D either, so I took them...

But I agree, they are my stretch pick.

Lawrence Maroney is a beast at running back with Minnesota.

Okay, can somebody please say...

Great job Vlyrock! A 5-1 week, almost 6-0 but stupid Colorado could barely score on Miami. I had a lot of doubters this week (cough, Pflugerville, cough) -- but Vlyrock sticks to his guns and prevails!

Season record is now 17-7-2. (70.8%)

Great Job, Vly. You learned what I've know since '97....don't listen to P-ville ;)

Props for that Minnesota pick. You knocked that one out of the park. I still have one more game in the bag this week to get me a winning weekend.
