My g/f said that if we swithced to iphone it would decrease our monthly bill by $50. I've got a blackberry curve and the track ball seems to just have gotten messed up this weekend. Should I make the switch?

Switch from AT&T to Verizon. That's your biggest problem.

I can take information and understand it without the need of a poll. I'm not just wanting switch or don't switch. I'm looking more for reasons to switch.

I really like my iPhone. However, it is really based on what you want and what is important to you. For example, you cannot receive picture texts, forward text messages, or delete just certain texts from a single sender. You can receive pics through e-mail. The phone is periodically updated via iTunes to correct any issues and you can add hundreds of apps for just about anything you like. Personally I use my iPhone all the time and rely on it for both personal and business use. I am very pleased with it and am about to get my wife one as well. Although, you will need to determine what features of a phone are important to you and then determine if the iPhone fits or not. Hope this helps.

I really like the iPhone - but it's for my personal use, not business.
I pay $75.90/month for 450 min, 200 txt and unlimited data.

I like a full QWERTY keyboard, personally. I have a BlackBerry 8320 from T-Mobile. Pretty much every wireless provider offers BlackBerries. We run the BlackBerry Enterprise Server at work as well so that's another factor.
Plus I don't really care for being locked into the Apple ecosystem. The battery is not replaceable on the iPhone, and you have to have some weird special tool to unlock the SIM card. No thanks.

What's the appeal of a replaceable battery? Do people really carry around multiple batteries and switch them out?

if you type lots of emails on your phone, stick with the blackberry. if you like multimedia more and only send short texts and emails, iphone might be for you.l

it has full qwerty, it just pops up when you need to type.
I love my iPhone, great for school and personal

i've used the onscreen touchpad keyboard and it just isn't the same as having a button keyboard. especially if you have larger fingers or cold fingers naturally.

I use a blackberry curve for personal and an older black berry for work and love them both.
My wife has the iphone...I would break it in about 3 minutes...too much glass to break imo for me.

I do when I travel. For example I did a 7 day bicycle tour in Colorado and we camped out every night. I did have access to a plug a couple of times but it was nice not to have to worry about it.
And you didn't ask, but I've also put different SIM cards in my BlackBerry when I was in Europe - T-Mobile Deutschland and Orange France.

The BlackBerry also has a far richer set of 3rd party applications available for it. Yes I know the iPhone has the App Store but they are just getting started on that, the BlackBerry has years and years of application development behind it.
