Baylor putting a scare into UCONN

Baylor just took a lead over UCONN with 11:00 to go in the 4th quarter. 28-24...

Baylor really just threw an interception but a "phantom" roughing the passer penalty gave them the ball back and they capitalized on it.

Baylor held UCONN on the next possession. Time to see if they can finish a game. 10:00 to go, they have a 4 point lead and the ball.

How could they call that a roughing the guy on UCONN's touchdown? Pawaluk (sp?) got blocked into him. Baylor is losing (31-28) - 6:00 to go.

I don't think we'll see Griffin when we play Baylor...he's going to be hurt or knocked out by then. He takes way too many shots.

I'm not going to laugh...they were big underdogs in this game (2 TD's) and took UCONN to the wire. I think Baylor (and Art Briles) made a pretty good statement tonight.

I agree that TD was given to them, but it was still a 3 point game at that point (in favor of UCONN).

When I saw it this morning it was at 12.5 & was at 13 at kickoff tonight.. :undecided:

Regardless they will beat us down by 2 TDs this year & no one will call for Sherman's head!

I'm very excited about the game tomorrow. If we show up and play, I think it can turn our season around (and give our guys confidence). If we struggle and get beat soundly, I think we'll struggle to make a bowl game.

I agree with everything you just said.....THE problem.....what have you seen that makes you think we can turn it around. All the problems I have seen aren't 'an extra week of work will help fix them' problems.

The "fix" is shoring up the run defense. If we can start holding opponents to a reasonable amount of yards and less than 20 pts a game, I think we can stay in every game (sans OU, etc).

We have a lot of young'uns who are still gaining experience. Once we start wrapping up and stop arm tackling (and give up less than 5 yards/carry) -- we might be worth a lick.

Again, Miami can give us that confidence because we SHOULD destroy Army at home.

I see a non creative offense, poor playcalling and poor game management. When your offense is going 3 and out and ranked in the bottom of the ncaa, your defense is not going to be very good because they are on the field all night. So far we have had a total of 17 yards in the second half the first game and the second game with a short field all day we put up about 47 total yards in the second half but hey maybe he's saving the playbook for Big 12 play.

Both Baylor and A&M will be different teams than they are now when we play them. I don't think we'll struggle too much with them.

Baylor will be O-fer in conference play at that point, and pretty much demoralized.
