While I think that Griffin will be a great player, probably a little too soon to say that he is going to be better than Vince Young and that "people are going to say...that's the next Robert Griffin."

Well, they better bench him against A&M. We know how Baylor QB's have fared against A&M. What's our streak -- knocking out 3 in a row?

im sure matt featherston would LOVE his chance to rattle his helmet a little...but if he got past that first level and got into the secondary...the fear of tackling in the open field would probably plague our 'experienced' DB's

Young's receivers and TEs at Texas made him look a lot better too. Baylor doesn't have that kind of talent, plain and simple. They will win some games, but it's unlikely he will some record breaking QB with the receivers they have.

Seriously, we don't need to be talking smack to Baylor. I think we'll win that game, but any team is scary this season considering what we are right now.

Baylor has some swagger now, going into the Conneticut game. Then they open the B12 with OU.
We'll see how close our game with them will be by the time OU, ISU, OSU, Nebraska, Missouri, and Texas get done with them. They will, at best, be 1-5 in conference play at that point.
In other woirds, wake me up when they play a real football team.

A nationally televised road game against a good UConn team = Baylor beat down.

Any team that only beats us once every 20+ years is fair game for trash talking.
I don't think any of us know where we are right now? Its two games in to a new season, coach, scheme, etc. We might have a new QB this weekend. Way too soon to make assumptions on "what we are right now."

If Baylor had receivers with hands, Griffin would be scary good. I've been impressed with what I've seen from the kid so far.
As far as BU fans pumping the kid, can you blame them? Have they ever had a QB to get excited about? They've been so bad at that position for so long that Shawn freaking Bell was a local legend.
