Internet on the road

So I'm on my way back to Houston from a weekend wedding in Corpus Christi. My wife and I are riding with a friend of ours who has an AT&T 3G wireless card which connects to her laptop. It's crazy how far technology has come when I can post about the Aggies and watch my fantasy stats update live on a full size laptop... all while traveling back to Houston.

If only I could talk the wife into letting me reload my online poker account :cool:

Some 3G phones do the same thing. My wife got a phone (Blackberry) from Chevron that has the capability of hooking into her work laptop and getting internet. We use that on all road trips.

Actually she is one of the specialists (Gulf Region) for Environmental Safety for Chevron Pipeline.

Edit: Only for a few more months. Then she will be in Upstream (Exploration and Production) in December.
