If ECU beats WVU & NC State... and somehow run the table in C-USA... ya'll think they should have a shot at the National Championship after beating 3 BCS schools???

In the past beating 1 BCS school & going undefeated got you in the dance (Utah, Boise State, & Hawaii)...

Should beating 3 BCS schools get you a seat at the head table????

if they are ranked as one of the top 2 teams, why the hell not.... but i do not see any team outside of a bcs conference having the ability to get ranked that high.

All hell would have to break loose in front of them for them to have a shot at MNC game.

Yeah, the poll is really poorly worded. I don't think just going undefeated is enough. I also don't think they should get screwed because they aren't a BCS team. If at the end of the season they are ranked high enough then great, let them play for it.

However, I don't think they are good enough to get ranked high enough. I think that there will be plent of 1 loss teams that will be better than an undefeated ECU team.

For a team like Boise St., yes. For ECU who hasn't done squat since forever, no. There is no way you can justify an undefeated ECU team playing in the conference they play in to be ahead of a one loss SEC team.

Let me start by saying I don't think they have a prayer at beating WVU.

Look at Utah in 2004. They beat us that year, and we finished the season ranked #14 in the BCS rankings. If WVU loses to ECU, that's probably about where they'd be. Also, Utah beat 2 other BCS conference teams (North Carolina and Arizona). They were #5 in the BCS rankings, if I remember correctly.

Last year, a 2-loss LSU team made the MNC game over an undefeated Hawaii. Mid-majors will never get a shot at the title with the BCS system, even if they deserve it.

OOPS!

I didn't see the word "should" on the poll. I think that if ECU beats their schedule, they deserve a shot over a team with a loss. I thought the question was "would" and voted no.

First off...it won't happen. There is no way they run the table. They just aren't good enough.

That being said, if they do, they still don't deserve a shot over a one loss Georgia, Auburn, USC.

Let's see how many teams lose only 1 game. If they go undefeated I'm not sure they should pass a 1 loss BCS team.

Well, they did it twice. WIll be interesting to see how their season plays out and when that "letdown" game happens.

they are now 14th in the AP poll and 20th in the coaches poll.

I'd like to correct my initial statement... They still have 2 BCS games...

NC State & Virginia.

Seems they are picking on the ACC this year... The ACC will just be at an all time low... Considering Wake Forest is their Only Ranked team left...

Also... Anyone think the Big East tries to snatch them up also??? They snatched up USF pretty quick... I've heard the Big East is trying to grow up to 12 teams also & want a Conference Chip & all the $$$$$ that comes with it.
