it sounds good...sounds like they're trying to go back to their roots a little. I was one of the few that liked St. Anger though

I haven't like anything Metallica has done since the black album.

I hate that how Metallica went after their fans for sharing music files online, so I refuse to listen to thier music.

Same here. I was one of the people who used Napster when nobody was getting sued. Metallica ruined it for everybody. I still listen to their older stuff, but that's the last band I'd ever pay money to hear.

I dunno, I seriously buy all my CDs. I think you should pay for music. No matter how you look at it

I'm over my anger & looking forward to some good music...I will buy this album the day it comes out :gig:
BTW for those who haven't seen DOWN...one of the best concerts I have ever been to...
Phil was the best I've ever seen him (I've seen Pantera, Superjoint Ritual 4 times). Spot on w/ the lyrics & was his same self...If you haven't seen him live & enjoy the music...GO to the concert...even if you don't care for Metallica.
BTW their new bass player (Robert Trujillo) is freaking amazing (live)...he has a bass solo that is insane.

I totally agree with Metallica and it was WRONG for Napster to do what they did. Metallica had every right to go after them and I am glad they did. I spent over 5 years of my life as a tour manager for a band out of Pasadena and I understand what it is like to be in the studio for months at a time, put out a CD and then tour to promote it. I know first hand the hard work and determination invovled to produce a CD. When your in a studio for 6 months and 99% of the time you work 15 hour days, 7 days a week, you are working your job. So when you finish your job and put it on the market for sale, why should some other company steal your music that you just worked on for so long, and then sell it for free or close to free? Its B.S. what Napster did.
How would you feel if this happened to you in your daily job?
