Cool Tech Rap Song

My friend chris and his brother are into mixin and making tracks....the have been doing it since we were all at Tyler Lee High School. Well they have made a football track or two every year since we started at tech. This song is the latest one and its called "this is our time" (this is our time is the adopted slogan for the football team this year)

understand you dont like tech, but from a neutral standpoint this is a really neat song.

You guys should know the story behind Raise Up. Both of those guys are friends of mine and had a TV show in College Station when they were in school. They are both class of 2000. It was a SNL type show where they did stupid skits around campus. It was actually a pretty funny show. When this video first hit Texgs last year, most of the people on there thought that these guys were trying to make a serious video. They were then bashed and made fun of by everyone on texags. As Dustin said, both of these guys are very successful. The white guy owns his own videography and movie making business in Austin. He was the videographer at my wedding and is very successful. You might also be surprised to know that the black guy is the youngest D-I softball coach in the NCAA. He was an assistant at A&M while he was in school and is now the head coach at McNeese State. He took over their awful program last year and ended up winning their conference tourney. This earned them their first NCAA tourney invite in about a decade. You might remember that they came to College Station and lost to the Ags. Look for this guy to be a coach at A&M later on in his career.

A few suggestions for the remix version of "this is our time" that is sure to come out next spring:

1. You need something in there about throwing tortillas
2. You need something about throwing the goal posts in the crowd. Maybe instead of "raise the roof", you could put "tear those muthas down" or something like that.
3. Take out all the "hit them" references, that implies defense. Instead go with something more like "We will pass on your a$$" or "1st down 1st and 10, 2nd down 2nd and 10, 3rd down 3rd and 10, 4th down, pun....what the f!ck, we went for it on 4th and were in your endzone again."
4. Maybe a catchy reference to Leach about his drinking, but if you look real close makes him sound almost cool. Maybe something like, "But don't start blinkin', cause when Leach starts a drinking', the opponents start stinkin', your mind starts blowin, cause the fans they're knowin, the more he's drunk makes the girlies all crunk.........blah blah blah"
5. To get the old timer techies to listen you need to put something about those annoying little clickers they used to use back in the early 90's.
6. Maybe something about "We will score so fast, we will leave ya in the dust. And that is what Lubbock is all about" - Just to add a little humor to the rap.
