they have typically used their lower specd machines to pass off ubuntu and other os's (that cant run vista properly). they are finally waking up to the fact that vista needs some decent horsepower behind it.

ive played with ubuntu in the past and it is by far the best linux version out there but it still has a very long way to go. and with my quad core i wont be ditching vista anytime soon. vista runs very fast on a nice computer.
