Wow.. just played online game TAMU vs WVU. I was getting killed by gimmick plays from QB but shut them down 4th quarter but I was trailing by 3 with 1:24 left in game. I kick an onside to try to get an advantage and no luck. They run 2 times and its 3rd and 5 with 1:05 left in game and I have 1 time out and they are on my 35 yard line. I sent some pressure but not much then he goes to throw to #5 WR and boom #18 Arkeith Brown saves the day... Check the video!!

We'll try to get at least one game done per week. If you're matched up with another user controlled team you'll have to work out when you play them via private messages, message board, etc.

That way, it's not so much about the team you called, but more on talent. Also, it'll be more fun to build up the teams. If you start as the #5 ranked team, there's not much challenge or fun (plus you'll just win some games because your players are better).

If we do switch, then I say randomly assign the teams (through a random number generator, lottery, or something). :)

Okay, so there's been no change on this and I'm ready to get it rolling... So, I'm going to take it upon myself to hold the "draft". The way the draft will work, I will put all 12 teams in a hat. I will go down the list of usernames and draw one team for them. I will post the results. From there, we can decide to keep the results or allow some teams to "switch" to unassigned ones.

After the draft, I saw there were 4 in the East and 2 in the West. Since I drafted the worst team in the East, I 're-drew' for myself and drew Houston.

Not sure if you guys want to 'okay' that move -- but that will put 3 people in each division. Again, this is all "unofficial" until either Hollis or Stobie actually starts this thing!

Why doesnt everyone take a team from either the East or the West. This way were are guaranteed to play each other. If we choose East everyone with an East team keeps it and then the west teams just pick one.

If we change to the East I would like ECU

If we stay West I'll keep Tulsa.

And I wouldnt look at last years conference ranking but the ranking in the game as far as O, D and Overall.

Only thing is that if you split the people and you dont do so good then you might only get to play 3 human opponents all season

Then you probably won't enjoy a dynasty at all. You have to play the CPU for most of the games of any dynasty we get set up to play. All of your preseason games will be vs. cpu anyway.

Im in 2 others...4 out of 12 games are against CPU that is fine but when it is 8 or 9 out of 12.

Question on schedules and stuff -- not sure if we can change them or not (assuming we can). Are we for/against changing schedules?

Also, it hasn't been stated, but let's have a "real" football league. No video game cheesing (taking advantage of the computer AI -- like running the same "money" play every down)...

Also, on the rare instance one of our teams gets invited to join another conference. I guess we decline so the teams stay together? :)

I suggest we start an AF group for this (so we get our own forum). I also suggest we start a sticky for each team that will serve as the scouting report. This will allow others to prepare for the other players playing style while at the same time making each of us change up our gameplans and learn how to play better.

It's the same idea as having access to game film in real life... Thoughts?

Gravy, best advice I have is take your team that you have and play against a tough team a couple of times to see where you are weak at and then how to overcome certain plays that will be ran against you.

I cannot stress enough, the AI will find ways against you in this one. I did alot of zone with the Aggies and I see alot of over the middle 5-8 yard passing against them. I switch to man and I see more sideline plays... the CPU read the defense pretty well.

I have Houston and looked at their schedule. In game 3, I play Oklahoma State on the road. I figured I'd see how my team stacks up...did a play now, and I was down 24-0 at halftime.

My guys are slow, fumble, and get run over by the Cowboys. I don't know that this season will be that much fun. I'm not an expert by any means, so I may be one of the few guys who actually loses out of conference games. :)

I was hoping to advance the league today, but I think we'll give everyone one more day to get their preseason tasks done, or I'll advance it as soon as everyone completes their tasks. Once the season gets rolling, I'd like to go through two games/week if possible, but I think that might be a lofty goal.

My pet peeve is when someone calls a pass play and then immediately runs with the QB. It's ok to do it once or twice a game, but some people plan to do that before the snap at least once per drive. The "QB Contain" play has severely limited the over-effectiveness of that play, but it's still cheesy.

It's a brilliant offensive system I like to call "Ask Corso.";) Keeps it random.

I had 8 turnovers in my game against Oklahoma State. My QB fumbled on the 2 yard line (going in), they scored 1 TD and then i fumbled on the kickoff return and I had another int inside their 20 yard line.

I had chances to win it, but no matter what I did, it seemed they'd cause a fumble or their LB would automatically burst into a 99 speed, 99 jumper and pick off a deep post pattern that was open. Very frustrating.

And yes, that UTEP guy is going to be scary good if he can knock off Texas with UTEP...

Not so fast my friend the cpu isn't that good in AA I beat FL in the swamp with UAB on AA as a warm-up and had no problem. The big adjustment for me atleast is the timing change in the routes for passing hopefully i have it down but i play the cpu the next 3 games.

Yes but you dont know why it happened. I know they have been having problems with disconnections on the EA Servers. It happened to me in another Dynasty. EA is saying that it could be from corrupt files when you download each time. So from now on I dont save it to my xbox. They said that could help out a lot and that if you do save it it could corrupt the dynasty. One of the players in our other dynasty wasnt able to login, because it wouldnt show the OD on his list. We had to remove him and re-invite. We also sent a message to EA and got a response about saving and corrupt files. So save at your own risk.

Corrupt dynasties were by corrupt rosters.. I noticed this when I started the dynasty no one could get in... and neither could I but when Hollis did it worked.

Nope this is a new problem with the dynasties. Check the EA support website. EA said in a message to the commissioner of the dynasty that it has nothing to do with the rosters but a problem with the download being corrupt.

Correct it shows you didnt finish but not why. ( quit cause losing or had a legitimate excuse).

They are trying to fix it so it shows you a reason why they restarted now.
