I think Clemson would be the best one.... 1.) Season opener at night 2.) Non-conference so who knows when you'll ever the chance to go there again. 3.) Thier fans were really cool whey they played at Kyle.

OU is good but that is so late in the season that who knows what our win/loss will be by then. If we are sucking I don't think I would want to drive to Oklahoma.

I have already been to CU to see us lose so that's out.

Anyway, I hope I can convince some people to make the trip for Clemson.

EDIT: And by road trip.... For me I mean flying.

The closest trips would be to Norman or Lubbock, so probably one of those. :)

From College Station, Texas (Yahoo! Maps)
Clemson, S.C.: 1042.2 miles
Boulder, Colo.: 1066.2 miles
Manhattan, Kan.: 715.1 miles
Lubbock, Texas: 488.9 miles
Norman, Okla.: 356.9 miles

I just hate going to road games with the chance we might lose. Makes the drive home that much longer.

I was at the Baylor game last year...it was miserable walking out of the stadium and driving back home to Belton (45 minutes south of Waco).

I swear, by the way some of those fans acted you would've thought they never won a game before...oh wait....so that's why they acted that way. :D

Clemson, I hope.

Going to the Clemson game, of course it isn't as long of a drive for me. I also have planned to go to West Point, NY year after next. I think that trip will be cool. I'm looking forward to the Clemson game, I think the Ags will be well represented.

I usually go up to Boulder because my brother lives in the area, so it's one of his only chances to catch an Aggie game. We also met halfway for the oSu game last year, so we might try to do the same in Norman this year.

KSU, mainly cause i don't have to pay for hotel and i have family who will fly me in. All i have to do is pay for the actual ticket. I'm cheap i know

I have heard some terror stories from Boulder.

True or just fabrications?

Tech. I don't know why I subject myself to it. Most likely road game to lose. Worst fans. Been there before and had an awful experience. I'm just a glutton for punishment I guess. But somebody has got to go up there and support our team!

I would say probably true. Every time I go through colorado the residents there just seem to dislike us texans. Must be an inferiority complex

Every state has an inferiority complex cause they know they aren't as good as the State of Texas.

I'll be at the Tech game. The game this year is going to be really good. I give Tech a slight edge on offense and A&M a pretty good edge on defense.

Yeah, but Tech gets a bigger edge cause the games in Lubbock. It's pretty well documented how we've struggled up there over the past 12 years.

Raider, ditto on what Vly said. The game being played in Lubbock makes a big difference. You guys can call me crazy, and before I say this let me say that I think our D will be much improved and it's only a matter of time before we go back to the Wrecking Crew ways, but having said that I think the best defense against the raiders, is to keep their offense off the field. What I'm saying is we need long sustained drives by Reggie and crew, to chew up time before we punch it. Translation, a good running game!

AMEN! I've said it for the past few years man, you want to beat Tech? Well, yes of course defense is important but they live and die by that quick strike. Tech WILL put points on anyone. They WILL hang big numbers on you through the air. That is not completely stopable. What can and will kill them is putting together long drives that chew clock. If the o line steps up this fall when they are all healthy and can gel together as a unit, and if the tandem of Lewis and Lane gets us where we need to be RB wise, I think we have a real good chance. We just have to keep that flying circus off the field in Lubbock and that friends is easier said than done.

Anyhow, I'll see y'all there.

All the horror stories are true about Boulder. Those jerkoffs rank right up there with Teck and tu fans in terms of opponent fan abuse. The biggest difference is that most of the "fans" in Boulder don't even follow football, they just like to heckle and curse the folk with the other team's colors on, especially if it's a (state of) Texas team.

Interesting that yall are giving Tech an edge in this one. With your improvement on defense and our inability to stomp the run, I thought most ags would have the Tech game already marked a W.

Tech with their offense will always worry me.

Combined that with our obviously weak secondary and it makes for a scary matchup.
