what is the game plan for today? in the match-up, they appear to be a "better" team than us.... they are 3-2, winnng their last 3 games, but they really have not beaten anyone good.....

Not to give away too much, but our game plan is fairly similar to the last few games where we have been scoring well on tough defenses. Slightly more pass than run, slanted towards medium-long passing to take advantage of the speed of our WR. More inside run than out because they are weaker in the middle than on the edges. A slight slant towards throwing to the TE more because they have a weak MLB SS combo and we have fast TEs. One wrinkle I have added is a very small amount of QB running. They tend to blitz alot and I figure letting the QB run a few times might slow them down a little.

While the matchup shows them as being better than us, It appears that they do a poor job game planning, and they aren't nearly as deep as we are. It will be a tough game no doubt because their defense is very good, but I finally broke down and boosted my kicker, so hopefully he will come through with a game winner if it is a close game.

Oh yeah...and don't look now, but we are getting some love in the two different power rankings being discussed on the GLB USA#2 forum. Time to live up to the hype and knock off the #1 defense in the league! :towel:

I looked at their special teams. It looks like they have a good punt return team so I wouldn't expect us to get a lot of punt return yards. However, in all their games, they tend to give up quite a few kickoff return yards. So, hopefully P-Ville can set up the offense with some monster KR's today. A 30 yard average and we win.

If I have it my way (wearing my DC hat), P-Ville will only have 1 KR today.

The QB running is only set to 5% (ie 1 in 20 plays). It is more to give the defense something to look at than to try to make big yardage.

Well in the last game, TV kicked at least 3 kickoffs 70+ yds for touchbacks. Now that he has boosted, hopefully they won't get any chances for KO returns.

You are damn right WTF. I was perfect on XPs this season without boosting. Then I boost 3 levels, and increased my "automatic" special ability and miss both XPs the next game? W...T...F????

Nice win though...especially with Iowa City and Milwaukee both losing. We now control our own destiny to get the #2 seed in the playoffs.

Both he & I agree (looking for input from txags92), that his WR, seems to be doing pretty good at the #1 WR spot & doesn't seem to be slowed down by the stiffer competition at all... :gig:

I plan to lock the gates on the stadium and give Donaldt the kind of thrashing we should have given Baylor at Kyle Field the year after they beat us in Waco.

I just looked at the rest of the games in the conference this week and there wasn't a single missed XP, including the kicker for the team that played Donaldt...he was 16/16 on XPs. It HAS to be a bug that both kickers in our game missed all their XPs.

The teams we have left to play are #3, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16 as well as the #13 in the wetsern conference. The only ones that have the potential to be close are the #3 and 6. The rest of the season should be a cake walk...

That's funny, I was second in the league in yards per punt, boosted my punter and now I'm averaging 3 yards less per punt, per game. WTF?

Well, luckily, a lot of the teams we played and beat early held off on boosting. That may not bode well for the playoffs, but I'll take the home-field advantage come playoffs.

I think Windsor was the only one that has deliberately held off, and most of their defense already has...it is their offense that is waiting...and it shows in their stats.

I think at this point in time, regardless if you Boost or Don't, if a team has a bunch of players built incorrectly, they wont be doing all that good....

I'm a DC for 2 other teams (SAS & Hays) and one good example of a players Lvl not telling the whole story are the LB positions on both SAS & Hays...

I run the EXACT same Defensive Scheme for those teams that I run for LOD.

On LOD the Game Plan works to perfection, on SAS & Hays, some players refuse to do the little things in building their players & it shows in Missed Tackles, & on the Score Board....

Even against teams that are dead even with both teams, They just don't add the speed they need to... I've had to put one LB at DE because of the way that guy has built his player up.... He is stronger than he is fast...

We could all be Lvl 30 guys playing Lvl 16 guys, but if we build our guys incorrectly & don't come with good game plans, it means nothing....

While some teams have not boosted... I will take another road & credit our wins to people doing research & building up their players to the best of their abilities & the staff doing their best to raise cash, & come in with the best game plans possible.:gig:
