Looks like a pretty even match-up with them having a slight edge in the kicking game.

These next two games will probably decide whether we get home field in the playoffs. So put on your game face and BTHO Windy City!

LOD Wins! 29-27. Lots of really good plays in this one. It was really nice to see TV get us the win with a 50.5 yd FG and a 21 yd FG in the 4th Q. That is game 1...if we beat Madden next game, I think we will be pretty sure to be a top 4 seed looking at the rest of the schedule. The top 5 teams I see in the league besides us are Windsor, Windy City, Iowa City, Baltimore, and Madden. We are already 2-1 against that group...beating 1 of Iowa City or Madden gets us a tie breaker win over 3 of the 5 best teams. So even if we all end up equal at the end of the season, we will have the better seed.

There were 25 deflected passes that game. Great job defense! Only 1 missed tackle.

Yeah, the offense decided to go easy on Pum and score more than 24 pts. If we had scored only the 24 he asks of us, we would have lost the game.
;)
I can see some areas where we could improve on both sides of the ball out of that game, but that team is very good and I was very happy with how few mistakes we made on both sides of the ball. Against other opponents this year, they had caused more turnovers and been more disruptive on defense.
I am still bummed about that first game against Windsor though. We had them right where we wanted them and let the opportunity go. If we had won that game, we would be one of two undefeated teams in the conference with a much easier 2nd half of the schedule coming up. I really only see 2 teams left on the schedule with a realistic shot at beating us if we don't have a game where we self destruct.

Holding em to one 1st downs worth of Rushing Yards is F'n SWEET!!!!!
Less than 1 yard per Carry!!!!!! F'n A!!!!!!!! :gig:
Yeah I am mad that we gave up more than 24.... But to be fair... twice we turned the ball over at mid-field & that really hurt our defense and we wound up giving up 10 points off of those 2 INT's...
It's nice to see us get 3 Sacks!!!! 1 from the 2ndary... 1 from the LB'ing Corps, & 1 from the D'Line!!!! :gig:
And props to Oliver, leading the team in Pancakes again... He must be killing those LB's & DB's on running plays... :gig:

The swap of Holland and Gill worked out nicely too as both had TDs.
That one long TD they had was just a mix up in coverage that was exploited perfectly by their QB and TE. It looked like we were rotating the secondary to cover for a LB blitz on the weak side, and the SS got stuck trying to come over to take the HB going out to the right. The LB stayed in his zone coverage, so there was nobody covering the TE on the fly. I am not sure if upping Thump's vision would keep that from happening in the future or not. It probably played a factor, but it looks like it was just the cost of not getting to the QB on the blitz before the TE came open past the LB.

Hey Vly... that stuff we tried with Concessions... Don't know what to make of it...
We made a little bit more money than we have in the past, but at the same time we didn't sell as much merchandise...

I guess, at this point, if we make more money, that's a successful test. I'll probably back the prices off a bit on the ones that made a significant drop. We'll just have to find a good "balance" on the prices.

Supply and demand...price em where we make the most money.

.
I think it just helped Holland metally to be lower in the depth chart -- their CB1 was covering him on the td play!.

Yeah...he is a head case...like his agent. ;)
I am starting to really see the impact of the investment our WRs have been making in speed recently. We are definately becoming a team that uses the pass to open the run instead of the other way around, which we used to be. Our Ol used to be so dominant that we could just blow people away. Now the defensive lines seem to have caught up and the running is tougher, but you can see on the play by play that nearly every play, we have a WR getting behind a CB somewhere on the field.

And don't look now, but LOD is #2 in the entire league in the latest round of power rankings. I don't think we deserve to be that high, as he has our O as the #2 ranked unit in the league, but it is nice to see us finally getting some recognition. The other 4 teams in the top 5 have already played King Donalt (with an average victory margin of over 100 pts), so obviously we are getting alot of credit for how well our offense is doing against high ranked defenses. Our next opp has the #1 defense, so it should be a good test for us.

How on earth they thought we had already played that God Awful team already I don't know...
Either way... That rating could be a bit high... ONly one way to find out though... We need to step up & do our best to uphold it...
But in the end... All I care about is where we are in the standings... :gig:

Yep. I think he inserted a "quality win" component and that probably boosted us alot higher than maybe we really should be. Our special teams and defense should get just as much credit as the offense for a couple of those wins. We still can't reliably move the ball down the field and put it in the EZ from the RZ yet.
Only time will tell I guess. I definately think we are one of the top 3 teams in the Eastern Conference, but I don't see us as being better than about #5 or 6 in the league as a whole. Our offense is good, but we aren't #2 in the league good yet.
