View Full Version : LOD Season 3 Game 4

I know the game isn't until tomorrow, but I was looking at the matchup already. This is a decent team we are playing that is undefeated so far. One thing I noticed is that they tend to give up a lot of yards to crappy return guys. Level 15 and 16 (and even 11 in one case) kick and punt returners are having good games. So, P-ville has the potential to have a huge game against them. Their kick off team has quite a few level 7,8, and 9 guys on them.

I don't know what changed in our Defense..
We had almost the same settings, but it seems this game our Defense went Bend But Don't Break... They had several good drives on us ... But the defense stepped up & kept them out of the endzone...
Depsite the couple of INT's... the Offense did what the defense has always asked... Score 24 Pts Minimum... and we will WIN!!!!!

I am sure when they had just gone up 6-0 on us, their Fans were probably pumped.. Then after their 2nd FG, they Kick off, and then in a matter of 20 seconds, they go from PUMPED, to SHUT DA F' UP!!!!!!

About King Gill, put him wherever the team needs him. At the time, I asked that he stay at WR3, because the two guys he was up against in the position battle had fewer catches per game, but were averaging more yards per catch. I didn't want to have a fight over starting when I already had guys starting elsewhere on the team. I felt it was best for the team to let them start while I worked on his speed. If Holland would rather be at 3 now, that is fine, put KG 1 or 2. I honestly think with his speed Clark should be #1. He has by far been our best deep threat over the last 8-10 games.

Check out this play. Several really good plays strung together. As the play unfolds, it looks like they are going to have a HB running outside behind a Guard and Tackle with a TE working on the LB. All setup to steamroll down the sidelines right? But Bennett and Pumchavas jump outside to turn the play back inside, and a heat seaking missile rockets up from SS to stop the HB dead for only a 1 yd gain. Nice containment and good vision from the D.

I'll leave the Offensive Depth Chart up to you.... :gig: I'll make these moves... but you have Control of the DC for the Offense... :gig:
Unless your out of pocket for a while, then I'll help you out... and if someone boosts at the last second that hasn't & it's enough to adjust the depth chart & you haven't logged on, I'll help... But other than off the wall situations like that... You have the key's to the offense. :gig:

OK coach. I just hate dealing with depth chart issues when one of my players is the one that would be moving up. Since AgnLaw is the one that brought it up, if he wants to go back to #3WR to try it for a game, I will move KG to #2 and Clark to #1. We can see how it goes for a game or two and then change as needed. Let me know if that is ok with you AgnLaw.
As for being out, I am in Denver on business until next week, but should be able to keep up ok since I am in an office with net access.

Two games in a row we have played teams that were trying to exploit our pass defense. Last game, they must have had outside running at about 80%, because they were trying really hard to beat us to the corner. Our CBs did a good job holding their positions and turning the plays back inside where the LBs and Safeties could come up and make plays. That was a big part of the "bend don't break" pum mentioned earlier. As the field got shorter, it was easier to play close to the LOS and make those plays for shorter gains.

Totally okay with me. Holland is producing jack squat so far this season -- it is apparent that facing the competitiion's strongest CB's is something he's not ready for. I would understand and completely support if he's put to WR3 or even WR4 (given his recent performance, he'll be glad just to stay off of the bench!).
