Ags up 5-2. We haven't been hitting the ball too hard, but they had to go to the bullpen early for lack of control. I wish the Ags were more aggressive at the plate.

i hope a miracle happens and we win this game, but if we don't, in the offseason...i hope this teams learns how to hold onto something instead of choking when they get in the lead or can see the finish line.

wow. how much more predictable can you get? ha ha. just giving the game away and then hitting into a double play to eliminate any chance you had to win. so obvious.
such a fitting end to the season.
Good luck next year guys! no team you are playing is ever going to just give up and call it quits when you are ahead. you have to finish a team off instead of just putting it in cruise control, choking, and giving up a lead. please learn that during the offseason.

Right! We lose to the #6 team in the nation by 2 and then by 1 run and that is a a choke job. Yah, right!

We are the better team so yes I would say they choked. A&M Stats wise is one of the best if not the best in every hitting catagory. Overall this team is the best team since our 1999 team but towards the end they lost some mental aspect of not putting teams away. It's was a good season not a great season. Glad we won the Big 12 but this team talent wise should be in the CWS.

regardless of where they were ranked, i feel we have the ability to beat any team on any day. there is no pleasure or satisfaction of a close win to a ranked team. personally, it doesn't matter to me if they were ranked 1st.
we had the win in our sights and we gave it away. not sure how else to define it. we choked in the pressure spot.
story of the season...we would get ahead and then give it away.

Early in the year this team was hammering folks and in tight games they would also find ways to win and not let other teams come back. Ever since the NU weekend this team lost that spark to keep teams from coming back.

It's the "Aggie Way" I'm so use to losing the big ones that it's not even funny. I watched the whole game sure we weren't going to win, even when were were up 3 or 4 runs. That sucks.

no they are a better team...just not by much...they have a great program there they expect to be in the top 5 year.
We had a great season and something to build on....keep the things growing and move forward...we have a great coaching staff in place.
I am calling it now we will be in the CWS within the next 2-3 years

I disagree talent wise we are better. Even had more draft picks and alot of our guys are high draft picks. A&M was one of the best in the nation on offense and defense. There highest draft pick is Price who I know and he has a great arm but other than that he's not the complete package. He's from Marble Falls and my wife is good friend with his sister. A&M this year was a top 10 team talent wise.

I hope you're right, because I'm so sick of the aggies being good but not great. One of our athletic teams needs to put together a National Championship. In sports in general I'm so sick of being the bridesmaid and not the bride.

We got beat by a better team, end of story. We might have statistically had better hitters, but their pitching staff is way too deep. Graham has so many pitchers that he could change them every few innings and never let us get to one of them too bad. If you watched the other super regional games that were on over the weekend, you would have quickly seen that the other national seeds are a level up on us this year. Had we made it to Omaha and had to play UNC, Miami, LSU, etc, we would have gotten smoked.
If you want to know who to blame for the loss, go ahead and blame Dustin. The dumbass was at the game yesterday and texted me in the top of the 8th inning (the batter before the 2 run HR) and asked me what time game 3 was going to be.

Be prepared for this lame excuse from him...."I'm a salesman and a saleman always assumes the sale." When he told me that last night, I told him next time to keep his assumptions to his damn self!

It has nothing to do with me. Its all P-ville's fault. If he would have just told me 11:30 instead of being such a drama queen none of this would've happened. I actually had heard what time the game was & we had been discussing it since the 4th or 5th inning. I was just wanting verification.
Anyway, funny story from yesterday's game:
We were sitting in the GA section down the right field line, basically right behind 1st base. Early in the game, Darby is up, & the Owls get a first pitch called strike on him. Well, the 5 Rice fans there start clapping, etc. & I guess the first base ump got caught up in the moment because he started clapping, too. So I got onto him pretty hard core: "Why are you clapping, blue? Whose side are you on here? Which one of the Rice players is your son?" Those types of things. You can see him smiling because he got busted big time. Next pitch Darby laces into right for a single. So I come back at him..."How about a clap now, blue?" He starts clapping hard & loud & as we start cheering, he gives us a Gig'em. It was freaking hilarious.
