Well... Since Season 2 is now done.... :sad: Let's look forward to Season 3.

Couple of questions I have for the team.... and we have 10 days to discuss em...


Position Battles

1) Do we want to have them again?
2) If we do, what would the players prefer? 8 Weeks again, or 4 Weeks again?
3) If we do the PB's again, what set up would the players prefer?

Rotating Weekly like we did last season? OR, split the 4 or 8 games in half & go 2 on 2 off for the 4 games or 4 on 4 off for the 8 games.

Contracts
1) Would the team like to continue as we have???
2) Or Would everyone rather we re-up when they reach Lvl 16 or 24???

Either way everyone will get a new contract at the start of Season 3 just like they did at the start of Season 2 with a signing bonus to get them started in the right direction..

Looking at the Roster... Maybe 7 players MIGHT not reach Lvl 24 (which will require $125K per player to upgrade their equipment) . The rest of the 50 Man Roster will. You do the math on that.... :wow:


Either way Vly & I will work with everyone... BUT, with equipment upgrades costing so much... we might have to put a cap on Signing Bonuses for equipment... I could be wrong (and I hope I am), but I don't think the team will be able to afford equipment upgrades for everyone at $125k a pop. It will be on each player to spend their cash as wisely as possible.

If we go with the original route of Pay Raises Every 2 Levels, by the time you reach Lvl 24, your player should have the Cash to pay for his equipment upgrades.

If we go the route of Pay Raises at Lvl 16 & 24, we'll have to see how that works.





If anyone has anything else they would like addressed that I left out, please feel free to bring it up.

I am kind of against the position battles. I think we ended the year playing really well, and would hate to change things around too much. We were kind of rocky through the middle of the season, and I have to question whether part of it was the constant changes to the lineup. Since everybody is getting about equal time, I don't really see the need for them now. If people feel like we have to have them, I think we should do it in 4 games, 2 games vs 2 games, and we need to pick 4 teams that are relatively even so one set of players doesn't get stats against a team like Michigan while the other gets stats against a team like Windsor.

As for contracts, my personal preference would be to not get a new contract until my guy reaches a milestone point (16, 24, 32, etc.). However, that puts a lot more pressure on the team's financial management to hold money back to pay for equipment and I am not sure that is really fair to them. On the other hand, we have guys like Pintar collecting a paycheck who has never bought or upgraded any equipment for his guy and keeps training on something other than relaxed despite several requests to train on relaxed. So should we give the money to the players and trust them to spend it wisely? You tell me?

Very good point... I was thinking along the same lines... but despite similar playing time, I know some might covet the title "STARTER"... I know seems petty.. but I just wanted to give everyone the opportunity & at some positions Like WR, those who wound up not starting who were obviously at a Higher Level could turn things around.

It's something we can discuss & look at the Pros & Cons of it. :gig:

You read my mind. Almost word for word.... Additional input would appreciated from other players to see how everyone else feels.
