Giant ugly ring statue

So they are building a giant ugly aggie ring statue by the Association of Former Students Building. Not only is the thing tacky looking, but it's extremely expensive. I think that building is one of the nicest looking structures we have and this new addition is going to look really bad. I hope I'm wrong or the Student Affairs committee that followed through with the idea has a change of heart (or budget).

I don't know if this is old news or not, but I work closely with people who discuss such things. I personally didn't like anything I saw.
