I take it most of the members of this site are religious in some form and the majority are Christians...Question? What attributes do you assign Christians? What characteristics of being a Christian do you practice?
What does it mean to be a Christian? WRONG ANSWER: "to worship God and or Jesus" that is too obvious.
I feel Christians are honest.

My opinion as a Christian...
To be a christian means alot more than I can write on paper. My love for God and Jesus Christ has helped me become a better Christian as well as a better person. My strong belief in God and Jesus and knowing how much he loves me and cares for me helps me live my life and to live it through God..
To a certain extent, "to worship God and or Jesus" can be a wrong answer if that is the only reason a person has to believe they are Christians. Living my life through Christ, attending services, being involved with the church and most importantly spreading the Gospel of the Lord are all attirbutes in "being a Christian".

Okay Pearland, enough is enough. There was no cause for you to say what you did. If you didn't like what Thisjeffyguy07 posted, you could have approached it in a different manner. We are talking about Christians and you are using the wrong language.
You need to be banned for life.

Also, being a Christian has helped me find myself. Last year was a really big change for me, I actually got to go on a mission trip and help others in need. We built a couple houses and handed out food and water and doing all that was really fun. I read through the whole bible too and joined a youth group. Met some new people that are now my best friends. And it all started with my church and wanting to strive for being a better person. Christianity has straightened my life out a lot.

Next time you have an outburst, type what you are thinking, but just don't hit the submit reply button. Then take some time to calm down, realize this is just a message board, and you won't have to follow-up with an apology message. Just some advice.

Back on TOPIC...
Christians IMO believe in God & Jesus & also are willing to ask them for help when the situation calls for it. (Not going to go into detail because no one reads a long post.)
Also while I would like to agree with you that Christians are honest... I would rather say that Christians TRY TO BE honest.... I don't think anyone alive is 100% honest in one way shape or another... Even if it's a little white lie.... Maybe even if it's when they lie to themselves... I think to some extent, even if it's small, we all lie... We don't want to, most don't like to, but we all do it...

The word "Christian" means "follower of Christ," and I think that about sums it up.
Obviously, believing that there is one Almighty God who sent his Only Son, Jesus, as the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament is the basic truth to being a Christian. But to really be a Christian, IMO, you should "follow Christ" by learning and applying his teachings in your daily life.

Wow....
Catholics are Christians.
Thats not always the case. I've been around some catholics who think Jesus was a prophet. That does not equal Christian.

:bs: The whole Catholic faith is that it Jesus and the 12 Apostles started the church. It's the one true church of Christ. I'm not going to a long spill again but I don't think some Catholics would say that.

If you want to start this argument go to another thread. No need to turn this into a Catholic bashing thread.

These threads always get taken to a Catholic vs. Protestant thread, which can be very informative, but as a moderator I feel that it is my job to keep this thread from spinning off into another one of these. If you'd like to argue for or against Catholics take it to another thread and I'll be happy to debate you.
This thread is not about that.

I feel Christians are honest.
I believe that a Christian is someone who believes that Jesus is the son of God and does his best to follow his teachings.
I think we get in trouble when we try to rank some Christian qualities as more important than others. I am not the judge.

So according to Wikipedia, the world's most correct website, the Catholic church is the world's largest Christain church, and that 1/6 of all Christain's are Catholic. If Wiki says so, then it must be. :)
