As I mentioned in the other thread, a tornado rolled through my neighborhood last night around 10pm. My house has some roof damage, I lost some trees, and my son's playground was destroyed. Most homes had minor damage, so that is good. Noone was hurt either. It was definitely crazy.

Here is a link to the enitre photbucket album. It has 19 pics and 2 videos. I'll also put a couple of the pics and the videos directly on this thread. The password for the album is "password."

What is left of my neighbor's workshop (note that this was originally a couple houses away, but was picked up and thrown here)

where in Pflugerville do you live? I'm back by the new lake off Weiss and Kelly ... are you near there?

Very close to there. I live in the Lookout at Brushy Creek subdivision. It is off of CR 139 and CR 198. If you don't know where that is, it is near the end of Rowe Lane and Hodde by the wild game farm.

Too bad the neighbors' dogs Boston Terriers didn't get sucked up.

Okay, right north of us .... I was in Dallas last night for the Stars - Red Wings game and missed the whole thing. Our neighbor was watching the kids and told us of a tornado warning for Pflugerville and that they took cover but I hadn't seen anything about it until your post. News this morning was focused on the downtown Austin area. Glad ya'll are safe, that scary stuff!

Here is an article on the storms from last night:

http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/05/16/0516storm.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=52

An overnight thunderstorm brought wind gusts of more than 70 miles an hour, snapping large trees, uprooting vegetation, closing roads and cutting power to more than 19,000 residents in Central and West Austin. When the storm passed through the Austin area between 9 p.m. last night and 1 a.m. this morning, more than 5 inches of rain fell in Hutto and Georgetown, and 3 and 4 inches of rain in Round Rock, according to the National Weather Service.

Golf-ball and baseball-size hail was reported throughout Austin.

I'll take hockey over a tornado any time. P'villeAg, I'm glad you only have an inconvenience not a crisis.

I'd rather watch soccer than go through that again! :)

Ditto ... I'm not big into hockey but my wife is from Michigan and she's a Wings fan so I was cheering for the Wings. I was wearing my A&M ball cap and ironically, the guy right next to me was in a Longhorn sweatshirt and he was also pulling for the Wings... so we have an Aggie and a Horn sitting together at a hockey game both chearing for some yankee team from Michigan. Go figure. ;)
