Don't know if anyone has looked at this....

http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=856&team2=229 (http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=856&team2=229)

But I am scratching my head at this....

They took off everyone from their depth chart... EVERYONE...

So now their ratings are all at ZERO across the board...

I am hoping this isn't some new glitch trick to win games that they figured out from someone else doing it...

That would really piss me off...

If they are throwing in the towel... Fine.. No problem... I'll take the Win so we get 1 step closer to the Playoffs.... :gig:

But if not & this is a glitch.... I will be very PISSED aboutt his... I have copied my screen showing what is going on with their team/roster just to be on the safe side so that I can send it to the Mods just in case.

Interesting. I hope they put everyone back. I need the experience points.

BTW, I was looking at the rest of the season last night. I predict we finish 10-6.

I was thinking about the same thing... Possibly 11-5....

Which honestly isn't all that much of a step down from last season... last season we played against weaker competition and weaker depth charts...

That isn't the case this season at all... Teams are much more balanced & have more depth... It really comes down to who builds the better players & who has the better game plan...

Pumchavas28
05-15-2008, 08:36 AM
Also... I don't think taking everyone off their depth chart will prevent our players from gaining experience....

I think the CPU will automatically plug players in for them, but I don't know how their subs will work if at all...

They could just have the same 11 guys on offense & defense play the whole game non-stop & wear out quickly...

Could end up being a big blow out win for us.:gig:

I think we would all take a 'stat pad' game.

We will still kill them...

Doesn't look like they run very well. Do they have run & shoot game plans for GLB?

Hmmmm... I wonder if someone tipped them off...

Dustin00whoop

They keep changing up their depth chart. Right now it looks like their WRs & Pass D are horrible.

Dustin00whoop
05-15-2008, 11:00 AM
They don't have any WRs on the DC.

Pumchavas28
05-15-2008, 11:01 AM
They don't have a deep roster, but they do have 4 WR's... I wonder why they haven't added them....

Pumchavas28
05-15-2008, 11:03 AM
I could be wrong... but since we are within 1 Hour in the count down...

Any changes they make could very well not be accepted by the CPU..

Bort had said something along the lines of Changes to the Depth Chart & Tactics changes needed to be made well before a game was within an hour of being simmed...

Should be interesting...

zrf2002

Sweet. Three of the top players were LOD running backs.

Another nice day for P-ville....one rushing TD and averaged over 26 yards per punt return.

Plus, my center lead the team with 11 pancakes. Nice job Cody.

When I saw 49 offensive plays by the opposition I was thinking, "Great, I bet my guys didn't get to see much PT" but the way Pum has things set up, the plays were pretty evenly spread out. Whotdat got two more tackles and is averaging two per game over the last four gmes. Not bad for a level 9 3rd stringer.

zrf2002

9 more pancakes for LARD ASS and CORN FED contributed with another. another good day for ZAK ATTAK on the corner with 3 tackles, 2 pass deflections and 1 int. our newest member of the team also did well, GREAT WHITE HUNTER (SS) contributed on 26 plays and 2 tackles and he is only level 4.....

zrf2002
05-15-2008, 12:49 PM
the cpu put in their cb's for wr's since no wr were listed on the depth chart.... somehow though, one of their wr got in for 9 plays.....

Yeah... I'm thinking the Sub In/Out ratio we have going now will help prevent players from being left in the dark as far as playing time goes from now on....

But like txags92 pointed out... it's a moving target & it's probably the single most important issue I am looking out for in the Forum's section...

If I see someone else having problems with similar settings to ours before we have those same problems, I will try to see what they did to fix it so I can do it before we have the same issue.

I am really stoked about the number of plays for both QBs I know that my QB is not on the level of Tee Dee but he is getting better faster now because of those few more plays per game that he has gotten recently. Thanks Pum, '92, & Tee Dee. :gig: :rep:

Wow...400 yards of offense and holding them to 12.5 yards rushing on 13 carries...nice day on both sides of the ball!

It is easy to give everybody time when we are winning games. Unfortunately, even in the land of make believe, the little mistakes get magnified when we lose a close game to a tough opponent. Jerrod didn't deserve alot of the criticism he took earlier this season (including some from me). Getting everybody this kind of playing time this season will just make us that much better next season. The teams that run their starters ragged and don't try to build quality depth will start to fall behind in the future.

Pumchavas28

Originally last season... I was looking at the QB position much like a REAL QB position where 1 should get the majority of the snaps & the other should be just good enough to manage the game when the #1 QB came out...

But then I remembered it was a CPU game & not real so I treated the QB spot much like the rest of the positions...

This way McGee gets better faster & eventually, just like the rest of the team... If the #1 QB gets tired... the #2 QB comes in & there is little to no drop off...

With the depth we have & how even it is... I am wondering if we should have been called the immortals...

great game by blazing! the depth of our RBs is phenomenal! ANY ONE of the three could start & carry the team.

and with a line like ours??? how can you not run well? there were "mack truck"-sized holes out there today.

But if we keep this up, in about 4 more seasons we need to create some new rookies to start bringing along or when all of our players "retire" at one time we won't have a team anymore.

Yes we will.... Players start to decline after 10 seasons... This being our 2nd season, I was thinking along the line of Season 5 to start brining in some Youth to the team & start to groom them...

Who knows where we will be & at what level.... But I would eventually like to have a revolving door...

If possible at some positions where there are more than 2 players... I would like to stagger the development of the incoming players.... But not until Season 5....

This could also be benificial to the other Aggiefans.com Teams as well.

The Mods are playing with it....

The last I read was that they are looking at 2 possibilities...

After 10 seasons your player automatically retires
After 10 seasons your player no longer gains experience but slowly declines & slowly loses skill points (similar to what Jerry Rice or Cris Carter went through) and leave it on the players owner to retire that player on his own terms & on the owner to release that player when he is no longer productive.

I think when we decide to bring in new players, everyone that decides to have a new player should play a different position then what they already have. I don't want a DE for 20 seasons, might get kind of boring.

I also tend to think that we won't have to worry too much about grooming new depth. We are talking over a year from now before the first player reaches 10 seasons. We will likely have turnover and attrition during that time that will bring in new blood along the way.

Another option is at the 5 year point, we make use of our high quality depth and split into two teams and backfill both with new depth.
