THE FINAL WORD ON NUTRITION
After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the final word on nutrition and health:
1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

my great-grandmother lived to be 95 & ate things for breakfast that are now considered "horrible" for your diet. She was also considered "overweight" by most standards.
However, she got up before the sun rose every morning and was active until she passed away.
I think THIS (our sedentary lifestyles) is what sets us apart from most of the world...(among many things)

I'd say inactivity and over eating is killing us...

Come on White, you know 99% of the people on this site don't know what sedentary means! :)

The more technology does for us, the less we do for ourselves....
Although.... that hasn't stopped the Japanese... I'm confused...

Another thing, is that we eat more processed foods than people from other countries. Mexicans may eat more fat than us, but I am sure it doesn't all come from Big Macs and candy bars.

KCAggie beat me to it.
The one common denominator is all the PROCESSED FOODS.

I recommend eating low-fat poontang, run two miles everyday, and imbibing on beer and/or wine (moderate amounts) daily to avoid heart attacks. It really doesn't matter what type of poontang, Japanese, Mexican, German, Chinese, or Italian.
