The field goal kicker was the MVP. 5 FG's. :gig:
And we gave up a safety -- ouch.

Their team had a really good defense and I knew we would have trouble running against them. They also blitz alot and get about as many sacks as we do, so passing was bound to be a challenge as well. I am about to look at the stats, but I am just glad we didn't trip on offense too badly. The D came through as usual...

2 INT's really hurt our offense.....
7 Times we were in scoring range... which is why our K was the leading Top Performer....
But that is 7 times we could have/should have scored a TD. We left 39 points off the score board....

So long as the team won... Would have been sweet to blow em out, but a win is a win I guess.....
Thank God it wasn't the real A&M team or texags would be saying the team completely sucked.....

I will have to wait until I get home to look at the play by play, but it just looks like a weird day all the way around. We were slanted slightly towards the pass, but wound up with almost 70% passing. We usually shut down the other team's running game, but gave up 4 yds per carry. We lost our starting SS, but shut down their passing game with our best secondary performance of the year. We didn't get a single sack, interception, or forced fumble, yet we held them to under 100 yds passing and forced 11 punts and held them to 7 pts on offense. All the way around, just a really nice day for the defense. As the OC, I obviously need to look real hard at what worked and didn't work for next game...

They are not as bad of a team as their ratings and record look. If you look at the yds allowed and other defensive stats, they are very comparable to our defense. They have played some tough teams and that is why their record isn't good, but they were a good team.
