The local chapter wants to join. I'm giving it some thought. I know they do some great things. Is anybody a member or know anybody thats a member? How much free time is needed to fulfill your duties if you join?

we've got quite a few Catholics around... someone may be able to help you out, but most are younger and may not be involved in KofC

Like most things, you probably get out of it what you put into it.

Was just wondering because I'm only 30 years old and didn't know if I was going to be the only young guy in the chapter.

You could be the new life the organization needs. Bring your friends in with you.

I am a part of the Caldwell chapter, I joined this past month and I am only 17. Technically, I am not an official member because I am not 18, but they are holding my card and I am a full member in that I participate in everything just as any other member does. I can't get too much into the details because it is a fairly secretive organization, but the K of C do a lot of great charitable acts across the community and make plenty of money to donate. Our meals are great and the fellowship is great no matter what age you are. Believe me, if you have any prior relationship with any of them then you will mesh with the rest. They just drink and have a good time before the meetings. The K of C truly is a brotherhood.;)

Legel is correct as well. I joined with 5 of my friends and it has helped take any shyness away. They also have great insurance benefits and I received a $1500 scholarship from the local chapter last night. Believe me, you are never too young to join.
