Kentucky has offered a basketball scholarship to a 15 year old. This is getting bad. Is the money in the game forcing coaches to stoop to the level of 8th and 9th graders?

If they start cutting on his face we'll know for sure what he is up to.

The NCAA has a variety of rules about when kids can be contacted, but a coach can still offer a kid in junior high? Forget about rules about calling or texting players and all that, at least make the coaches back off until the kid gets a learner's permit.

Yes, I missed that thread on the eighth grader.

Moderators please feel free to merge this thread that was on both the eighth grader and the 15 year old ninth grader.

I never said the two threads were on the same thing. Just saying that UK offering a 15 year old was nothing compared to the 8th grader they just offered.

You may not have been saying it, but I am. They should be merged in my mind.
