Our ranch is in Paris, which is way up in northeast texas if you don't know, and it seems like we have an abundance of doves all year long until the season starts and hell I guess I just found out where the SOB's go, south texas. Actually one of my buddies used to have a lease in sonora and damn there was some good hunting down that way.

Wow....just hearing Sonora makes me want to put in a little REK & grab a beer. I'll wait until its at least 4:00 on the east coast I guess before I start that. sonora's Death Row is one of his top 5 songs IMO.

Wife had to go to CS to take our Shar Pei to the vet & I have my daughter. I don't drink when its just me & her here at the house...never know what might happen.

You mean wife wanted to go to Northgate on a game weekend, so she made up this story about your dog needing to go to the vet.....lol.

Unfortunately, she just got back & I just saw the bill. She went to the vet. Northgate the whole weekend would've been a lot cheaper.

How much have you spent on that dog since you got her? Just wondering if mine had caught up yet?

just Kiki or the two combined? Kiki's first eye surgery was right at 1K. This trip was right at $500. Special food, numerous ear treatments, basic stuff like shots...hell its no telling. Winnie hasn't had much wrong--just one thing. But that was a big one about $1500. Have you caught up yet?

Nah, I'm not there yet. But, I've spent about $1500 on Kenner. However, I've only had him for 15 months, he's costing me $100/month. If you include the hunting and training supplies that I bought for him, then add $700 to my total.

I will totally agree Sonoras Death Row is by far one of his top 5 songs. I'm a big dreadfull selfish crime and front porch song fan. And then of course you gotta have The fightin texas aggie song. Damn ya'll spend a crapload on vet bills.

I'm a little partial to my Labs.

Texas Aggie 07

I'd rather have a lab than any other dog. They are definitely the coolest dogs, and you spend way too much money on your dog.

REK doesn't sing The Fightin' Texas Aggie Song. Your other choices of his top 5 songs were great though. Dub Miller & Highway 6 sang the Fightin' Texas Aggie Song. I'm disappointed that was up there this long without someone else setting the record straight. :(

MD....I wouldn't give up the Shar Pei for the world. She is awesome, just high maintenence. My other dog is a Weimeraner. My wife bought her for me for my birthday a few years back. The thing is, I wanted my 2nd dog to be a boxer, but she wanted a Weimeraner. So she buys ME the kind of dog that SHE wants for MY birthday. How does that make sense? They are both great with my daughter, so that isn't a problem. My next dog will be a Neopolitan Mastiff.

I wouldn't doubt it. I've worked there in the oil fields. Not much there.
