I hope Stephen has this article posted in his locker today...
Quarterback.
Missouri’s Chase Daniel, Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford, Texas’ Colt McCoy, Kansas’ Todd Reesing and Texas Tech’s Graham Harrell lend instant contend-ability.
All five teams pop up in early preseason national top-15s, with the Tigers, Sooners and Longhorns expected in the BCS championship hunt.
The second wave, including Oklahoma State’s Zac Robinson, Kansas State’s Josh Freeman, Texas A&M’s Stephen McGee, Colorado’s Cody Hawkins and Nebraska’s Joe Ganz, further establishes the Big 12 as a power conference, even in April.

I don't understand how cart mccrybaby always gets listed as one of the top QBs. What has he done to get so much respect. I understand why McGee is listed in the second tier, but I also know that is going to change after the start of this season. A lot of people are going to know his name before this season is over with.

I have to agree - why is Cart on the list? What has he actually accomplished? And how can the sips be expected to be competeing for the NC this year?
I also agree that, to date, McGee IS a second-tier QB Hope he proves me wrong this coming season!

if he would have improved over his 2006 season...he would be tier 1. Last year really set him back.
Here's to returning to...and exceeding expectations in 2008 :gig:

FACT-
McGee is 2-0 vs Cart,
McGee is 1-1 vs Daniel,
McGee is 1-1 vs Reesing,
Unfortunatly he is 0-1 against Bradford & 0-2 against Harrell....
Just thought I'd throw that out there....

If the QBs were the only two players on the field at any given time during a game, the "facts" above might have some relevancy.

Probably, but he'd have no choice but to "keep" on the option.

that would be a site to see.... mcgee with a "keep" on the option and cart getting wasted and sent to the locker room.....

I was thinking the same thing...McGee in the end zone, celebrating a score.....Cart face down somewhere on the field 40 yards back, covered in cleat marks.

Cart isn't that good. neither will texas be this year. i can only see one upside to them...it's there new dc. that's it. they lost they're wr, rb, te, and ol (but still have a really good ol). Their d isn't that good from the start but muschamp could fix that.
But Cart shouldn't even been mentioned with those other qb's in the "first wave."

I hope he has a great year. They may be rating these guys based on Pro potential. McGee will have to increase his passing game. Not too many running QB's in the NFL. But, if pro potential is not the case then I rate him number one or two in the BIG12. He is clearly athletic, able to run and pass, and most of all he has MORE Heart than any of the rest..
Cart, and Harrell can't even hold his jock.//one dimensional only.

Not to be a brat, but McGee hasn't proven to be a 1st tier QB. Then again, Colt McCoy definently hasn't either.
