According to this story: Clemson story (http://greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050830/SPORTS0101/508300323/1025)

If I read this correctly, the gameplan for Clemson is to spend more time running right at our highly touted line rather than throw on our new unknown corners???

Yeah that's kind of what I took from it too. Looks like this might be the perfect game for the crew to make a huge statement.

Or it could be a good plan...establish a running game to pull the LBs/Ss up and then make the CBs cover the receivers. I'm nervous about our defense.

I also found this as odd.

Why does this seem like deception to me.

they seem to be putting an awful lot of information out there. Especially game plans and lack of depth. I think they might be trying to make us overconfident

I figure Clemson will do exactly what we expected their offense to do all along. This sounds like a ploy to get our defensive gameplan to change.

Either way, the Crew is going to make a statement saturday night. I say bring it on clemson, b/c we can handle anything u got to throw at us.

I thought the article was implying their new offense is going to try to get the running game established.

This doesn't mean pound the ball with the run, and doesn't imply they won't pass and pass a lot. If you're successful at passing the ball, it normally opens up your running game.

Rubbish. They are gonna come out firing.

Maybe i wasn't paying attention while i was reading, but when did he bring this guy in. Was he the OC last year?

Clemson replaced their OC and DC for this year. i believe the OC is from Toledo.

So for all we know he might actually try to establish a decent offense instead of that no huddle stuff. I wouldn't think they would do much no huddle anyways within the friendly confines of DeathValley. That being said I too have a suspicion that they will come out if they get the ball first and try to spread us out and then possibly run the ball.

After careful thought and consideration, I would like to change my mind to "Exactly the approach I would take". It would not surprise me if Clemson stuck in some unknown freshman, and ran it right to us. Now don't get me wrong, I think our line is probably good enough to keep them out of the endzone, but I can see Clemson slowely wearing us down, running it right to our line all game long and pulling out the win with a field goal or something. Just something that came to me.
