How stupid are HS kids these days? The kid in the pic below is a 4 Star O-lineman that committed to Clemson over UNC. He put this pic on his myspace page (it was taken down very quickly, but lots of people still saw it). He is in the back of a car, in a Clemson orange shirt, holding $20K in 20's fresh from the bank. Hmmmm.....Not too many HS seniors carry around $20K in cash too often.

What an idiot, the ncaa won't do anything about though, if anything they might take something away then give it back after a little while (see ou)

Yeah, there is no way to prove where that cash came from. With the solid evidence in recent years of cash being given to players and resulting wristslaps, I don't think there's any way that the NCAA could or would do anything about this.

I'd go to Clemson for 20,000 cash if I was a high school player. :) Trouble is, are any NCAA schools willing to push this and get clemson in trouble...?

The Clemson AD, a lawyer, was previously at Oklahoma State.

gotta love this explanation:
Kenneth Page and his coach have both commented on this picture; it’s a legit picture. Page was in California on a trip with his parents to see relatives, one of whom owns about 9 ATMs in the area. A couple ATMs needed re-stocking and Page went with his uncle to fill them, had never seen that much cash in his life and decided to snap a photo with it all. Bad judgment on his part for putting it up on the internet, but damn people, don’t be so naive.

I bet someone could figure out where that picture was taken based on the trees in the background. Or at least rule some places out. Looks more like the south to me than CA. But I'm just guessing.

Well considering he's in a 2 passenger truck (assuming he's not in the back seat), as an ATM owner, the guy's not very smart.
I would imagine he would have some kind of armored car or something like that which would fill up the ATM's for him. Also, if the story were true -- who would send their relatives kid out with LOTS of money and expect him to help fill the ATM machines.
I think believing the explanation would make you naive.

That's flat land, and that looks like a live oak in the background, that's all I'm saying. But yeah, the story sounds contrived over all.

Either that or he just unloaded some snow.

what in the world could that photo possible get him in trouble for? that is hilarious.

A couple ATMs needed re-stocking and Page went with his uncle to fill them, had never seen that much cash in his life and decided to snap a photo with it all. Bad judgment on his part for putting it up on the internet, but damn people, don’t be so naive.why do you love this explanation so much? is it not a possibility? do you know the kid?

I think believing the explanation would make you naive.why would believing that make you naive? there a tons of people who own "businesses" who are not very intelligent. and why would he have an armored car? to empty ATM machines? i would imagine you could remain relatively low key when doing this and wouldn't need an armored car. i would imagine individuals empty atm machines all the time without armored cars.
Also, if the story were true -- who would send their relatives kid out with LOTS of money and expect him to help fill the ATM machines.there are families that exist that trust each other very much. that is in no way out of the realm of possibility.
BESIDES, even if that explanation isn't true, other than the fact they have questionable morals for lying...what could that picture possibly do to him?
as someone said, there is no way to prove where that money came from.

that being said, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do to put that picture on your myspace.
