Has anyone ever played them? I did the other day. It was just by chance we went and saw a show and after, just because we wanted to drink some cheap beer we went into a certain organization's chapter house (I really don't want to say) and they had a bar inside so we started drinking.
Anyway, the bartender and security guard warmed up to us (We said we were SAFD and all that) and after an hour or so offered us a tour of the building. It was an really old 3 story house (it's the oldest chapter in this particular organization)
So he showed us a bunch of cool rooms and on the second floor he said, "here is our game room" and he waved it off like it wasn't a big deal. there were a bunch of pool tables, ping pong tables but on the wall looked liked ten slot machines. I hit one of the guys we were with on the arm and said, "Holy Crap, I think those are illegal 8 liners!"
And he said, "I think your'e right...."
Needless to say I gambled that night. Those things are cool. You just double down everything and if you win you play this hi-low game where you have to predict your next card is either higher or lower then the dealers card. I won 8 bucks. They actually print you out a ticket and you cash out at the bar.
Bad news is I think the beast has awoken. I smell a trip to Tahoe or Vegas pretty soon.....
