Not just us, but the whole BYU/A&M game. They skipped over it when talking about the West bracket and it simply amazes me.
UCLA has squeaked by in several of their last games. I'm not sure how good BYU is, but A&M was ranked in the Top 10 to start the year. We're playing good and have huge talent...why couldn't we be on the upset alert?

i also noticed that. they talked about the other 3 games in the top half of the West bracket, but completely skipped our game. it doesn't surprise me a bit though. i'm not worried about it either. let's just take care of business.

Yeah, it looks like we are the team to dis/hate this year. Per Rivals (after saying UCLA won't accept anything but final 4 and BYU are Sweet 16 contenders:
THE BUZZ: Turgeon's first year with the Aggies was up and down, and he was hardly a fan favorite, especially after the success Billy Gillispie had. But Turgeon took Wichita State to the Sweet 16 in 2006. A&M accomplished the feat the next season under Gillispie. Don't expect the same out of the Aggies in 2008.
Anyway, I personally like playing under the radar anyway.

Rivals always hates us. I like being the surprise team as well. If they talked upset, then maybe UCLA and BYU would take it personally. Let's just take care of business and win out West. :gig:

Whaaaaaaa......whaaaaaa
They don't "luv" us? Perhaps because we didn't earn it?
And you'll drive yourself crazy comparing us and any of our game situations to other more credentialed BB programs...we'll ALWAYS lose that comparison, until we start winning consistently, including something better than going .500 in our conference and losing - what - in the second round of our conference tourney.
Our BB program is headed in the right direction, and improving, I believe, but it will be a while before we automatically get "luv" from the press. 'Till then it does no good to whine about it.

So what I'm reading is that A&M shouldn't be compared to say San Diego, Western Kentucky, or Mississippi Valley?????
All teams that in the same section of the Bracket were talked about..... How is A&M not comparable when Seeded higher????? Also not to mention A&M just played in the 2nd toughest Conference......
They broke down the Field of 65.... 30 of which I would be willing to say that A&M is far & away better than hands down....
To want at a minimum just a little bit of recognition isn't a bad thing at all IMO.... Ags should want to be recognized for more than just their short comings (which happens to be what the media does more than often)..... JMO.

Digger & Knight DID talk about Acie Law (in reference to one of Kansas' players who has an uncanny ability to close the game)...

A&M was seen by the media to be a disappointment this year, so they didn't talk about them.
Small conference teams are the ones people want to know about for filling out brackets. Also most people assume UCLA is going far so they see A&M as having no shot and therefore no need for alot of analysis since everyone probably remembers them from last year

I was watching bracketology & most (if not all) had 3 or 4 #1 teams in the final 4...
While I think this year has some very strong #1's...I just don't see that happening...

Don't laugh but my Final 4 is
UNC vs Wisconsin
&
UCLA vs Pitt
Finals is UNC vs UCLA with UNC winning it.....

I've done several brackets.
I have Kansas and N. Carolina consistently in the Final 4. Piit, Memphis and Texas alternate for the South...and then I have UConn or Duke in the other one...
I think Kansas will win it all...

Agree on KU and UNC
Duke will lose early to WVU in the round of 32

I've never understood the point of making more than one bracket. If you've done several, then it's not really impressive if you made great picks.

Good analysis of the matchup between A&M and BYU..looking at each team's last ten matches I like our chances.

This is what CBS.com had to say about their break down of A&M....
The Aggies are trying to shake its label as primarily a football school with the strides its basketball program is making. Former head coach Billy Gillispie started the upward movement and now Mark Turgeon is carrying the torch. A&M is making its third straight NCAA appearance. Prior to their recent streak, the Aggies never played in consecutive NCAA tourneys and had not appeared in the Big Dance since 1987. A&M is now making its ninth appearance and really thanks to an all-around team effort. They went 24-10 on the season with just two players averaging more than 10.0 points per game, and the highest average came from Josh Carter (11.9 ppg). Joseph Jones, Bryan Davis and DeAndre Jordan are quite a menace in the frontcourt.

if you pay into each one...then it could work out well for you...
it's not really about being "impressive"...

I didn't make several brackets as individual submissions for something, I've done several walk-throughs of the brackets and scenarios to see what I feel the most comfortable with....

kinda like saying it's not impressive if someone buys multiple stocks and one pays off. it's not really the point.
