Not missing a beat.
The Green Bay Packers' starting QB is still the best QB in the NFC North Division. Yes, I'm talking about the heir-on Rogers. Surprised? Remember, the Pack has Brett Favre's protege while the Bears have Grossman, the Vikes have Tavaris Jackson & the Lions can't give their Kit-ty enough time to be a functional QB. They have, by far, the best WR corps in their division and second in the NFC only to the 'Boys, they have a defense that will be ranked right along with Minnesota's, a solid running game & probably the biggest leg in football.
I saw this guy play in person against the Cowboys(I lucked out and got to see my first Cowboys game on the sidelines) and he may be better for the Packers than Favre was. He has all the tools. He won't have the zip, he won't have the savvy right away, but he might be a more effective QB. I watched him pick apart(okay, a sub-par...) Dallas D with a great decision-making. He picks and picks and picks that 8-10 yard pass, and with the great WR's he has the arm to air it out and let the big boys go up and get it.
Another thing to think about.
A new QB is like facing a new pitcher. It's good to know his strengths, his weaknesses, his progression, and his favorite place to put the ball when he's behind in the count. The first several games, defenses will be seeing and getting used to Aaron Rogers, I can guarantee you Aaron has seen plenty of them.
About game 8 defenses will begin to figure out what he does and how he does it. He'll hit that slump, he'll have a couple bad games, the progressing Packer D that ended up so good at the end of the season will have to step up, but Rogers, after all the experience gained from Favre, will finish strong.
Expect this season to be compared to Ben's first year in poise, not in numbers. Aaron's will be better...write that down.
