:wow: :wow:

This is really going to hurt the Rockets....

If the other players don't step up BIG, they could miss the playoffs all together..... The remaining schedule isn't exactly favorable.

Biggest Games left on their schedule... (in order)

Denver
Dallas
New Orleans
Lakers
Boston
New Orleans
Golden State
Phoenix
San Antonio
Denver

These games were going to be tough with Yao.... Without him, they just get tougher.

this is how nasty internet rumors are started...can't believe you guys would stoop to this level....

...next you're gonna tell me McGrady is feeling those midseason pains again & the spurs are out in the lead in the west

besides the bees, does anyone see anything different happening this season compared to the last two? oh right, boston, i almost forgot.:bored:

Right... because I'm making this up...

Yao Ming (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3599)'s season is over.

Yao has a stress fracture in his left foot that likely will require season-ending surgery. Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey announced the decision on Tuesday.

The Rockets' team physician said that the injury usually requires four months to heal if it isn't treated surgically. If it's treated surgically, recovery time is from three to four months.

"This is unbelievable," Rockets owner Les Alexander told KRIV-TV in Houston. "This is the most heart-breaking. This is the worst I've felt."

Houston, currently on a 12-game winning streak, is in fourth place in the Southwest Division. The streak followed a loss in the one game that Yao has missed all season.

20-10 Players

The 7-foot-6 Yao is averaging 22.0 points and 10.8 rebounds in 55 games this season.

Alexander said he is hoping that the Rockets roster will rally together, even without Yao.

"This is the best we've played since the championship era," Alexander told KRIV-TV. "Yao was an integral part of that."

"We have great players and hopefully they can support what Yao gave us and go deep into the playoffs."

It's not like I'm scared of Houston or anything...

I understand your pissed.. I'd be pissed too, but maybe you need a nap or something.... This isn't Texags & I didn't say anything that wasn't true...

Geez... If your touchy & or pissed, go on a run or something.... As you can see, if I hadn't posted it Fxalaweed would have....

Geez...

Personally... I'd rather H-Town be in the playoffs... It makes watching the series easier because more teams will be located in the Central Time Zone & it limits the number of games that start at 9 or 10 pm & keep people in the Central & Eastern Time Zones up till 1, 2, or 3 AM.

Get over yourself, & your team..... :headslap:

The big big boys are kind of fragile aren't they?

Pumchavas28

Most of them are.... Shaq, Duncan, Yao, Mutumbo, and so one get real week once they get close to 30 years old & from then on, none of them can take a bump or anything...

Can the Rockets ever play a season without one of their stars being injured for most of the season?

It's not just them thought... Amare (Suns) recently was banged up (another big man), Same thing with David Robinson & Hakeem.....

It just happens to the Bigs.... More often than not, it normally happens on a play that looks like nothing instead of some kind of play where they are hiting each other hard under the basket....

Personally, I'd like to see the NBA look into protective gear for the players... Better shoes.... some sort of New Age Knee Brace that doesn't hurt other players & protects the legs of the players & so on...

Seems the only thing some if any players use is a mouth peice... Other than that... They are in just shirts & shorts on a hard wood floor which eventually takes a toll on a guys joints.

Like they say. Basketball is a contact sport and football is a collision sport.

Agreed... but every sport has protective gear in one way shape or form..... Basketball should look into something... anything....

Key players keep getting hurt & now should the Rockets miss the post-season, what would have been an AWESOME series to watch, now is relegated to some 2nd tier Western Conference team filling the void....

Granted the West is deep, but watching the Rockets would have been better than watching the Nuggets or Trail Blazers.

Houston could have easily wound up playing SA, LA, Pho..... any of those teams against H-Town would have been fun to watch...

Now if they fall off.... We'll see one of those teams crush Denver or Portland...

I'm all for the Spurs having the easiest way back to a Repeat....

But I'd rather watch one of the best Western Conference Playoff Setups in history with everyone healthy.

Most of the basketball injuries are to the foot and ankle. Maybe they need to reevaluated all these fancy shoes with the thick soles.

Converse High Top All Stars were a good shoe. :)

Yeah... but then you have guys like AI, Melo, Kobe, LBJ & others who are so damn worried about how they look that I doubt they would want protective gear & would make a fuse about it....

God forbid if the big men would need it.

I've been able to distract myself about the Aggies' lack of success by thinking "at least the Rockets are playing great." Now my basketball season is in shambles.

I wish no injury on anyone, but I also believe that giants that are just giants continue to ruin the game of basketball for me.
