This will definitely cost Acie minutes. There's no doubt Bibby will play more than Tyronn Lue did.

it will probably help actually. they really only have Bib and Acie as the 2 PGs now (because AJ and Lue are gone). Acie is the clear backup and won't have to share with anyone further down the line.

I agree with phatbc.... Acie could see more minutes.... no one else to rotate with other than Bibby...

Yes but AJ starting only saw a little more than 20 minutes a game...and the Lue and Acie saw the rest.....Bibby will play probably 30-35 mintues a game. Doesn't Salim Stoudemire play some PG too??

I heard Bibby may be used in another trade...and that he may not stay with the Hawks. Not sure if the rumor has legs or not.

By trading Anthony Johnson and Lue, the Hawks also are committing to rookie point guard Acie Law (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4289/;_ylt=AlRhr2MCNQH3C1Ei3VPyU46LvLYF), who should receive more consistent playing time as Bibby's backup.see :gig:

Seems Acie is getting more time... he had 32 Minutes against the Lakers & was the 2nd leading scorer for ATL.

They lost, but still a good sign for Acie.

His 32 minutes are well above his average of 17.3. & a season high.

His 16 points are also a season/career high..... coupled with his 13 points in the game before this one & his 29 points are his best 2 game performance so far of his young NBA career.

His increase in playing time could be due to the fact that Bibby played only 16 minutes due to being injured.
