California trio Green Day was named the best band on the planet and best live act Thursday at the Kerrang! music awards.

I thought Nirvana was a better band overall when they were playing but unfortunately they are no more and Green Day has taken over as the best now.

And Nirvana was a great band although I have never seen them live which is a tradegy. My favorite CD from them is "Bleach" They were definatly ahead of thier time. You should hear what type of music everyone was listening to in 1991 when "Smells like Teen Spirit" came out. That was like the symbolic end of the 80's and everyone went Sock Hop to Grunge overnight.

Speaking of Green Day.... These pics were from my phone on 8/21 in SA. They suck because it was so hard to take pics on the floor since it was freaking brutal down there. It was cool to be on the floor and look around in the stands and see 12,000 people sitting down.
