not so fast my friend....Sherman has told both of them that they will be evaluated in the Spring with the other HUGE stock of Linemen that Sherm and Co are looking at...

I went to one high school playoff game this season at Kyle... it was lake travis vs dayton... apparently (according to the LT fans around me) nobody had scored a TD through the air on dayton so far that season... this kid from LT lit them up... it was ugly... dude can flat play... sad to see him go

actually besides the top ranked prospects that have been evaluated, scout and rivals have not ranked the others.... So they could be really good.

I have seen him the past 3 years because LT is in Burnets district. Yes he can play but if he can't get time to throw he gets radical and makes alot of mistakes. This year even though Burnet loss to them they still made him look bad. Burnet came out in the 4-2-5 and mixed up their coverages man to man and zone. They blitzed a ton from every postion and at times dropped 8 guys back into coverage. He didn't know what to do. Also this kid hates to be hit and Burnet was hitting him all night. He's a good QB but he will need to have coaching to overcome some of this or this will be the staple on how to beat him in the future. I thought for sure he'd gives us a offical vist because of Sherman but I guess not. All his Dad talked about during the Burnet game was how he wanted him to go to Cal and learn under Tedford.

Not a big deal to not get Gilbert. Kid might be a stud but no team in the US besides the sips had a chance with this kid. He's been to every sip football game since he was 7 years old.

Shepherd will be interesting. The guy is also a badass, but not sure if his style of play will fit with Sherman's offense.

He can't throw...our coaches say he might be switched to DB at the next level if he doesn't improve throwing

Cypress Ridge (Houston) quarterback Russell Shepard said Friday that he was still very interested in Texas.

The five-star quarterback prospect has been asked that question time and again since another five-star quarterback, Lake Travis’ Garrett Gilbert, committed to the Longhorns on Thursday.

“Look, anywhere you go you’re going to have competition,” Shepard said. “Right now my top schools are Florida, LSU, Texas and Michigan. You don’t think Florida has talent at quarterback? They signed a bunch of big-time prospects last year. And LSU? And Michigan might get Terrelle Pryor. None of that changes things. You can’t be afraid of competition.”

Pryor is the No. 3 overall prospect in Texas, according to Rivals.com.

And from another forum:

The university of Virginia offered me today and I think that is 20 offers now. I didn’t think they would be rolling in like this. If I had to pick a Top 5, it would be Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, and LSU (my girlfriend is a sophomore there). But knowing me that could change any minute. I am pretty excited about going up to Texas. If they don’t offer me while I am there, that will change the way I feel about them a lotttt.

This is Russell Shepard
