A Brazos County grand jury has indicted Texas A&M football players Yemi Babalola and Brandon Joiner. The duo is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.

College Station police arrested both in early December after an alleged armed robbery of a College Station apartment on Nov. 29. Each was indefinitely suspended from the team.

Joiner also faces felony drug charges.

Aggravated robbery is a first-degree felony and is punishable by between five and 99 years and a fine of up to $10,000.

Babalola, of Bryan, was a starting offensive lineman. Joiner, a defensive end from Killeen, red-shirted as a freshman last season.

According to police, an apartment resident and a friend were bound with tape, as one of two men pointed a gun at them inside the apartment. The two men, who had entered the apartment after striking the person who opened the door, then fled on foot after taking several small items, according to police.

Very sad and unfortunate. Hopefully they learn something from this.

They've both been dismissed from the team... of course they are going to use the word "WAS".

Hard to feel that sorry for some guys who got a free ride to college, got to keep playing football and threw it all away.

I wish they would learn something from it as well, but when you're committing agg robbery you're past the point of learning anything useful.

i don't feel sorry for either of them. you should always strive to be the best at whatever you do. if you choose to be a criminal, you should be the best criminal there is. apparently, they were horrible criminals and are now facing significant punishment. i can't feel sorry for someone who didn't put in the effort to succeed at whatever they chose to do in life. work harder next time, guys, and you might no end up in court/jail.

:rep: Why feel sorry for them? Would anyone feel sorry for them if they were not Aggies? Should they even be considered Aggies? Remember the Aggie Code. They committed the crime and got what they deserved for comitting it. I feel sorry for the team they hurt, but not for Yemi and Brandon.

I don't feel sorry for either. That being said, Yemi grew up in Bryan. What do you expect?

I don't feel too sorry for either one. They were living the good life. Play football, have someone do their homework, three great meals a day. I wish I had that life!! Not to mention, babes!

Man enough to make the decision then you're man enough to deal with the consequences. Every person on this planet is liable for the decisions they make, its part of being an adult.

I wish I could feel sorry for them, but I can't.

It's a shame and a tragedy for them both to throw away the opportunities they had in front of them, but in the end it is completely their fault.

"Two Texas A&M football players accused of tying up and mugging a drug dealer at gunpoint have been indicted on felony robbery charges."

Does anyone else find this odd?

Yeah I appreciated that sentence as well.

I don't feel sorry for them at all. They made their choices and they have to live with them. Apparently They were both involved and neither one was simply an observer in the event so they get what they deserve.
