When posting an item for sale...

1. Post a specific price for the item. No BEST OFFERS accepted. This is not an auction site. Potential buyers can send an OFFER by PM if they wish we just dont want the post to start out as an auction like site. Just handle all of the negotiating via PM.

2. Under No Circumstances is anyone to reply to a post suggesting that the item can be found cheaper elsewhere. That is the responsibility of the purchaser to look for the best deal - not for forum members to point out. Members are trying to sell their items in a safe environment without fear of others trying to undercut their sales.

3. We prohibit dealers from posting any sale information to this forum -- especially advertisements in their signature file. The only items that we allow for sale are personal items for the benefit of our members.

4. No bootleg/pirated or illegal material may be sold in this forum.

5. All sales and purchases are at the risks of the individuals involved. Please be certain that you make safe and intelligent secure payment arrangements. AGGIEFANS.COM is not responsible/liable for any sales that go uncompensated. We are also not responsible/liable for any item advertised for sale in this area, and the integrity of that product's representation.

6. Any member selling/trading any item(s) on this board that accepts payment from another member without sending out the items purchased will have their membership removed from the forum immediately.

7. Aggiefans.com does not promote/endorse any products listed for sale in this area.

8. Mark your thread title with "FS" (For Sale) if you are selling an item or "WTB" (Want to Buy) if you are looking to buy an item.

9. Enable PM's or email before you post an item for sale so people can contact you with any questions or discuss price.

10. Limit "bumping" ot "ttt" to no more than once a day.... We dont need a few people moving their sale items up every 10 mins, thats what we have a search for.

11. Once an item is sold, the seller should post "this item is sold" or something similar so that a moderator/admin can lock the thread. This prevents items already sold from being bumped with unnecessary questions or posts.

12. Sellers are not allowed to edit the original thread after posting. Any changes requested for an item being sold should be PM'd to a moderator with a link to thread. They will make the changes for the seller. This prevents sellers from changing prices or descriptions after the fact.

13. Please BOLD the price you are looking for in the listing.... helps distinguish the actual price of the item. ex. Price: $50

14. There is a new regulation implemented on paypal that everyone should know about. It can be found under the Terms of Use at the bottom of the paypal page.

"No Surcharges. Under Visa and MasterCard regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods)."
