If ever there was a program for him to succeed in, it would be Denver's plug and play system with RB's. :undecided
I just wonder why they picked him so high. He'd have been around in the 4th round for sure.

I don't get this whatsoever....he would have been available in the 5th or 6th rounds anyway

I would have doubted any other team on this pick, but the broncos are a manufacturing plant for good system running backs. If you think think the dude can be great, why not take him early and make sure you get him

In the grand scheme of things, this was probably a good gamble by the Broncos.

I agree...he's got potential and has something to prove. I would've taken a chance on him.

My question is why are the Broncos even picking at RB? They have Tatum Bell and others....aren't they 3-4 freakin deep?

Last year early in the season they lost a couple of backs to injury. Also, if I remeber correctly they traded Ruben Droughns (sp?). They could use the depth with the offense Mike likes to run. I really wish we could get rid of Plummer (I want Elway back ;) )

Danny Kanell usually does. I really like the way Mike is thinking with the draft though (the # of db's he got). The raiders picked up moss and the colts are just too dangerous with the aerial game to have a weak secondary. Hopefully plummer picks up his game this year and doesn't lead the league in interceptions again.
