I saw this & had to ask if anyone has noticed this...

Even with the coaching change at A&M, the Aggies are the closest to Texas for recruiting bragging rights in the state. The Longhorns are at their usual place at the top of the pedestal with 20 commitments from players off the top 100 list, followed by A&M with 15 and Oklahoma with 10.:wow:

we SHOULD...(we just don't always beat ou in TX recruits)

this brings up another point...WHY don't we actively recruit in California or Florida, or Ohio?

Why are we so set on recruiting primarily (if not only) from Texas? I may be showing my ignorance on our recruiting strategy...but still a thought.

I think maybe 3 to 5 kids from out of state is fine in each class, but there is so much talent in state, for the most part it's not necessary...

But for those 3 to 5 kids.... Don't go for 2 or 3 star kids (no offense to them), but go for 4 & 5 star kids.... Otherwise, you can always get 2 & 3 star kids from Texas alot easier.

We need to close very strong. We need to keep all we have and bring in Dean, Woods, and Shuggarts to close out strong. I am sure we will have the scholies available.

With January enrollments counting on last year, 2 gone for legal issues, and a few non-renews, we will have the room.
