Who care about the 3rd game. Hopefully they just wait to start it till 7:00, so it gives plenty of time for the Cowboy game to end

I know I have said it on here several times, but having the game on thanksgiving night is awesome. It is a great atmosphere to a great rivalry. There is just something about playing tu on T that is special.

Now if we can just get Bonfire back on campus!

Amen! The way it used to be.

The move, however, is awaiting league approval, according to sources on both sides. Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe couldn’t be reached on Monday night.

any chance this gets vetoed due to the NFL games?

IMO it would put the spotlight further on A&M/tu (being the only college game played on a major network...that day).

From this article, it appears ESPN is requesting the change:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/colleges/texasam/stories/010808dnspoutbrief.1d3f7947.html
AUSTIN – Texas and Texas A&M have been asked by ESPN to move their annual football rivalry to Thanksgiving in 2008, according to UT senior associate athletic director Nick Voinis.

Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds and Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne have agreed to move the annual Longhorns-Aggies football showdown to Thanksgiving for the next two years if ESPN and the Big 12 can work it out contractually.

let's just hope it gets cold

nothing is better than a cold game against your bitter rivals

like 20 or 30 degrees

that is real football:gig:

I would rather watch and play football in 70 degree weather.

I hate cold weather. It sucks living in Kansas City.
