Why not? Why can't it happen for us? They beat us with a 1st year HC... why can't we do the same to them??? Especially with a new system in place, they will have little to nothing in place to study on A&M.... we'll have all of this year & the early part of next year to study their sytem.

That beat down in Miami wasn't because they out schemed us. We were physically dominated we have nothing that can match their team speed at this point. Not to mention we are losing our entire offensive and defensive lines and starting LBs for all intents and purposes. I don't see us making up for that in Sept.

I hope I'm wrong. But I don't see that happening. I'll gladly eat a plate of crow should you be right.

If for some reason Army is cancelled... I would love for A&M to schedule another D-1A team, but an easier team...

Someone like Idaho, Duke, Syracuse, Minnesota, UAB, UNLV, FIU.... basically... an out of state team that A&M is far away better than... and a team that while not great, A&M can turn heads in that state & possibly find a recruit...

I agree with you. I would much rather us schedule a 1A team like that instead of dipping in to a lower classified team. I mean the only thing is, it might be pretty hard to find a 1A team this late in the ballgame. Oh well, hopefully Army will stick it out though

as far as being out-physicaled by miami...

one: we won't have to worry about calais anymore
two(biggest): slow-developing plays like the delayed handoff, the multiple zone reads, and not passing/predictable playcalling helped the miami D pin some ears back and get after us without worrying about anything.

There are a couple of news reports (San Antonio and Dallas) saying we have requested the tu game be moved back to Thanksgiving night starting this year. It is awaiting league approval.
