THoughts on his Draft Status???

He was one of the few Aggies that played his ARSE off for 4 full quarters... or at least did not get beat by the guy infront of him...

So much so that Joe Paterno hunted him down & gave him props Face to Face after the game in the tunnell...

I don't think he will get drafted.

I think he should... He has been the most consistent DB this year and aside from maybe say 10 CB's in the nation this year, the rest of the CB's are clumped together & he should at least be consisdered...

He has played his arse off & has really shown alot of ON-FIELD awareness that A&M has lacked at the CB position for a long time....

JMO.... I think he has earned it...

I think he will get dafted once he works out in front of some scouts.

I also think he will have a pretty good highlight/scouting tape to give to those scouts from just this year alone.. he had an awesome year & was very seldom the weak link on our defense...

He's a Senior... He's Gone.

Carpenter was, by far, our best CB. He was another player that lived in Fran's doghouse for a while. Just another example of that man's foolish pride preventing us from winning...

No. I doubt he's on anyone's radar. Maybe he can make a team and prove himself in camp (like Melvin Bullitt).

He jawed too much for my liking. You don't have to get in the WR's face every time the pass is incomplete....

I'm thinking he can prove himself at the Combine (if invited) & at the A&M Pro Day...

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think he did a have a decent to good showing at last years Pro Day when the Juniors were given their chance to show case their stuff....

I still think he can make it in the league...

I agree..... I hate the fact that a ton of DB's (99%) do that.... Half the time they have nothing to do with the incompletion, yet they still start mouthing off at the WR any ways....

I heard he runs a 4.5-4.6 which shows how smart he is in coverage, but if that is true the nfl won't even take a look at him

He'll get a good shot as a free agent...I always had a soft spot for him.

If he only runs a 4.6, then he won't have a chance......not at cb.

Good luck to him. He definitely stepped up this season, especially towards the end of it.

I don't think the kid gets drafted, maybe he gets a chance as a free agent, maybe! One thing he definitely needs to learn is that is isn't his job to get the crowd hyped up, make plays on the field and the rest will take care of itself. Love the kid because he is an Aggie, but most of my memories of him are him waving to the crowd at Kyle while the play is starting.
