Is Western Kentucky a new player with the big boys??? They are listed as an Independent by virtually everyone....

They went 7-5 but are not bowling....

Are they on some sort of trial period??? They played 6 D-1A Schools.... beating only Midd. Tenn. Anyone heard anything about this???

I know it wont happen... but with 120 teams.... why not have 10 Conferences with 12 teams??

Yeah, they are in I-A for a trial period, where they still play a bunch of I-AA schools and don't bowl. FIU and FAU did it for 2 years if I remember correctly.
