On the rivals top story today "Tuesday Insider." It says:
(referring to the Texas State game)
Coach Mark Turgeon had high praise for the team, especially younger players such as Donald Sloan, DeAndre Jordan and Junior Elonu. Turgeon said Sloan has turned things around since a heated conversation a few weeks back.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Probably the same type of conversation that BCG had with Acie. Basically told him to get his **** together and be a leader.

If I had to guess I would agree with Pflug...

Sounds like a much needed conversation by a coach that realizes the potential of his players.

Sounds to me like just a good coach doing some coaching.

Some might have thought that when BCG left we would get a little soft. maybe lose some of the discipline and toughness that we had come to love.
But, Coach Turge has plenty of expectations for his players and while some might have thought he was more of a finesse guy, he seems quite demanding.
Biggest difference appears to be that he does it at a different tone of voice.
I keep liking what I see and hear!

I think everyone is figuring out that Turgeon knows exactly what to do, and is doing that. We'll be just fine.

Biggest difference is the fact we cannot make a FT. Let's get that fixed before conference play....
