Hey guys -- all you Houston area sports fans, you might want to check out HoustonSportsZone.com -- this is a new forum launching that covers all Houston Sports teams. It should be active year round and it's unofficially launching right now!

This site is owned by Aggiefans.com, so all ad-revenue and such helps to pay for this site. It is not an attempt to get rich (forums will never do that), but it is a way to use the licenses Aggiefans.com owns for the software, as well as finding a new way to recruit members as well as share server costs.

If you missed being in on the ground floor over here, head over there and be one of the first ones on the board.

Questions? Post 'em on that site. I'm still in the process of finishing it up, so if you see something wrong or out of place, post it in the customer service section and I'll get to fixing it.

It was an idea we all brainstormed since we didn't want to "compete" with Aggiefans. Houston sports is targeted to a different type of fan, while at the same time, houston is close enough to A&M that we can cross-promote the sites. If it does well, we will expand to other cities -- but sticking close to home for now...

That's one reason we started the board -- understand it's going to be slow at first -- but I hope that tomorrow, when the Rockets play, we can get a big influx of people... do me a favor and start some topics -- I'm trying to get the word out on some sites right now. :)

Sure, but I never see the front page of AggieFans. When I go to my favorites, it takes me straight to the "New posts" page.

The board isn't showing that I have viewed new posts. I go see new posts on a thread then hit the "new posts" icon and I go back to the same list with the thread I was just in highlighted. I'm not sure what's going on.

fyi eventually we will have a master login across all sites but vbulletin does not support such a feature yet (and the 3rd party options that do are very expensive)
