This week can't end soon enough. It has been a bitch.

1. Monday Night: someone tries to open my front door at 9pm. Its locked so they bang on my windows and run off. Turns out same thing happened to my neighbor the same night except they tried to turn the knob on their back door. Not sure if it was a stupid prank or some freak trying to get in my house, but if it happens again, someone is going to have a .40 caliber hollow point in the chest.

2. Tuesday afternoon: I run to Sam's to pick up some random stuff. I come out of the store, go to put my stuff in my truck and am approached by a lady that accuses me of hitting her car. I won't go into all the details, but the lady says that a chip in the paint about half the size of a pencil eraser on her front bumper was caused by my huge Ranch Hand brush guard. She demands my insurance info. Long story short, my insurance company has launched an investigation into her claim b/c they don't believe her (as they should not). She is screwed b/c I have pics that pretty much show that there is no way in hell that my truck did that to her car. Had I hit her car, her bumper would have been laying on the pavement.

3. Last night: Come back from trick or treating with my boys to see my house completly covered in smoke. Wife calls 911 and I run into the house to see what is on fire. Turns out nothing is on fire that I can see. Fire trucks arrive and they check the house with their heat cameras to make sure everything is okay. I was already paranoid b/c we are still having some electrical issues from the lightning stike from 3 months ago. I thought we might have a small electical fire somewhere. So, house is not on fire, but there is no conclusion as to where the smoke came from. It was around my house and my house only. I was outside with all my neighbors when it happened and noone saw anything unusual. It was too dark to see all around my property, but the firemen think that someone from across my pond might have shot a gas canister onto my roof somewhere as a prank. First thing I'm doing when I get home is going on search for the cause. If I find a canister, I have narrowed it down to where it could have come from. Someone's gonna get their ass kicked. I'm all for a good prank, but seeing your house covered in thick smoke does not fall into that category. I barely slept last night b/c I was so freaked out and worried about a fire.

Come on Saturday. I need to relax and watch some football. Too bad I have a feeling I'll be pissed off again come 8:30 or so that night.

Wow......that is a string of odd happenings. Here's to it all getting better though! (other than Sat.....that is just going to suck, and the best we can do is be in a deep buzz by then).

4. You log on to aggiefans to see that there is a hotties thread posted this week. All is well, for a brief moment.

ps - glad it was nothing serious.

I've had a weird week too.

Someone got into my car Tuesday night, took out the CD in the CD player and replaced it with a burnt CD that i don't even own.

It doesn't freak me out, just confuses me.

The thing that would piss me off the most in that story is that b*tch who thinks you hit her when you didn't and instigates an insurance investigation. If that happened to me, and she got money off my insurance, I would hunt her down and ram her car head on with my jeep.

That should get her an actual truthful claim.

The other things aren't that bad. If somebody breaks into your house you could just shoot 'em and if you house burns down just get everybody out and let insurance take care of the rest.

Yesterday morning, I walked out to my car in the morning and found out that someone had broken my driver's side window and taken my Sirius radio and my radar detector. The funny thing is, they left the car adapters to both and the antenna for the radio. So both items are practically worthless. The radio can't be used becuase I've deactivated it and reported it stolen with Sirius.

I'm still out $200 though for the replacement glass plus the half day of PTO I had to take to get everything done.

Wade,

I already know where she lives. I made sure and got her address off of her insurance card. What I don't understand is why she would even want to file this with insurance, regardless of how the damage happened. If you took her car to a body shop and asked them to fix the chip, it might cost $100. It would be just a good to go buy a $5 bottle of touch up paint at Wal Mart and fix it herself. So, she is okay with her rates going up b/c of this? I just don't get it.

I also was very humored by her comment..."This is a new car and I intend to keep it this way. That chip in the paint goes down to the metal. I don't want my bumper to rust." NEWSFLASH lady, your tiny foreign SUV has a plastic bumper. I'm no Engineering major (oh wait, yes I am), but the last time I checked, plastic has a hard time rusting.

P'Ville, she saw your former student sticker and decided she had to have some of your studliness. ;)

To continue the bad juju tales, our Property Manager fell off a chair and broke her leg to the point of requiring a plate and 5 pins. :wow: No one else has a clue how to operate her software or process her reports except for the one who set up her system, who just happens to be me. :bored: I am beside myself dealing with whiny renters who call and demand their garbage disposals be fixed NOW because they are rattling.....yeah, when your kids put rocks down them, THAT HAPPENS! :undecided:

Of course, the good side to this is that NOW I also have an overabundance of folks wanting to purchase new homes before the end of the year, but there aren't enough hours in the day to take care of them all myself, so someone else's broken leg is costing ME money.

Glad your house is OK and your family is safe, P'Ville. There are blessings in the "what could have beens", believe me. Be grateful. :)

Nothing strange happened to me, but my girlfriend did walk out of our apartment to find her truck parked on the opposite side of the parking lot, with neither of us understanding how it got there.

Macduff,

How the hell did she do that much damage to her leg falling out of a chair? Was she sitting by an open window and fell a few stories?

UPDATE ON THE SMOKE: I scoured my property yesterday looking for reminants of smoke bombs or smoke canisters to determine what caused everything. I FOUND NOTHING! That really pisses me off and confuses me more. My best conclusion now is that my property is haunted and used to be an Indian burial ground.

I think I'll take your advice beginnnig tomorrow at 7pm. For some reason, my gut is telling me that watching TV tomorrow at that time could cause me great pain.
