D.J. Davis - Class of 2004 (http://tamu.alliancesports.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=16900) (w/ Stephen Mcgee, Yemi B., Danny Gorrer, Pierre Brown, etc.)

I was just messing around and looking at old recruits and saw his name ad didn't recognize it.

He's listed as a 4 star, played in the Army All-American Game, and looks like a good prospect... it says he signed a LOI but I haven't heard of him before. Does anyone know what the deal with him was?

He played for a while & got kicked off the team. I can't remember if it was for grades (which I think it was) or discipline, but he left after a year or two. I have no clue where he is now.

Man, now that I think about it, that brings up really bad thoughts. Can you imagine what our secondary could be this year....especially at CB. A rotation of 'Keith, Danny, Eric Mayes, & DJ.....I left out Kay because he probably wouldn't be here if not for DJ's & Eric's troubles, & he wouldn't be needed. Wow!

Eric Mayes was a huge loss for us that still hurts our defense three years later. He blew it so he could make a couple of extra bucks selling weed. I'll never forgive him for that.

I agree Loftin, he could actually cover and he could return a punt more than 5 yards

I have a feeling you are grossly underestimating this. People that are only making a couple of extra bucks selling weed don't end up selling to an undercover cop.

Oh the irony of Loftin never forgiving Mayes for his off the field issues that screwed up his college career.

Interesting. I'm not aware of ANY off the field issues, much less any that affected how he played. He looked pretty good to me.

What does that game have to do with Reggie? He hit DeQawn Mobley right in the hands on a beautiful long pass (that McGee wouldn't complete, sober or otherwise) and Mobley dropped it. Also, Reggie had nothing to do with the defense and special teams sucking ass.

you're right...I guess 10 of 21 (46%) for 146 yards while high IS pretty good...

:gig:

oh yeah...we got our asses kicked...41-20

and that same game...McGee was 9/15 (60%) for 112 yards & hit Jason Carter for a 40 yd TD...

Until a legitimate source says anything that even remotely hints that Reggie was high, I won't believe it. Reggie was moving, throwing, and making decisions like he always had. I consider this to be SLANDER of an AGGIE.

I don't know if you've ever specifically said he smoked weed on a public thread. If so, I must've missed it. There are ZERO legitimate sources that even hint that Reggie was at a game high. All stories about Reggie being high should have a [RUMOR] tag and be on premium forums.

wow...another :rep-: for saying I'm taking dustin's & pflug's sources over "yours"...

and I get this comment:
Take a step back, and look at the facts with no emotion. There is no evidence at all to support Dustin's conspriacy theories (which are wrong a lot).

I'll break it down for you:
"Take a look at the facts with no emotion" - that's my job dude...I'm about as objective as it gets...and this comment is coming from YOU...the guy who (despite all of the evidence to the contrary) proclaims Reggie as an outstanding human being...not to mention is about as UN-objective as it gets ("J-train should get the ball 20-30 times a game despite getting stopped early in the game")

"There's no evidence to support Dustin's conspiracy" (fixed the spelling for you...educator of our children) - I've seen/heard plenty of compelling "evidence" from D. Albeit heresay...I'll still go with it & trust his sources, as they have proven to be correct in the past...same with pflug's. If they prove otherwise (which they haven't yet)...I may reconsider.

"Which are wrong alot" - please elaborate...which one of his "conspiracy theories" are/were wrong? And you must provide sufficient support to prove otherwise...D doesn't really have "theories" as much as just reporting what he hears (from my experience)...and what he hears is pretty spot on...

All of this leads me to believe that YOU are in fact the one not being objective...so your only weapon is to :rep-: bomb me...

Carry on...I've got plenty to spare...
In fact...I'll :rep: the next three people who :rep-: me...except you.

If someone isn't willing to go on record with what they say, it usually means that there is absolutely nothing to back it up.

Neg Rep obviously hurts your feelings. You felt the need to tell everyone about it, copy and paste my (private) comments, and write a page long rant that I didn't even read.

Will I defend an Aggie whose character, work ethic and legal situation are criticized and outright lied about? Yes, every time.

You're the one who threw out accusations that you can't defend. There is no evidence whatsoever (besides hearsay from an anonymous internet poster who you've never met), yet you don't hesitate to slander and defame one of our players on a public forum.

Vly, please lock the thread. This slander has no place on a public forum. It's inexcusable for anyone to go on a smear campaign against one of our players.

Oh the irony. You didn't have any problem bashing Antoine Wright. How come you didn't want Vly to lock that thread? After all, slander has no place on a public forum, right? Or, I guess slander of players that you idolize has no place. If YOU don't like the player, then talking **** about them on a public forum is okay? Just wanted to make sure that I understand the Loftin Rule of Aggiefans.
