I have not been to this place since I was a senior at A&M back in 99. My dad has been wanting to go and eat there since the season has started. Has anybody been recently? I know the CKF steak, ground steak and huge grilled steaks were the sh*t when I was in school. I had heard a while back that it went downhill, so has anybody gone in the past.

Stay away from Sodolak's. The bitch that opened Sodolak's is the ex-wife of the guy that runs Country Inn. She divorced him, took his recipes, & then opened a restuarant closer to CS to screw him over. Its the exact same food, but anyone with any ethics & sense of decency would go to Country Inn over Sodolak's.

That being said, Czech-Tex is the sh!t.

well it should compare pretty close to the country inn... i think at one time (maybe even still) they were owned by the same guy.

honestly i never liked the country inn very much... that place was kinda scary sometimes (and there were alot of racism stories i heard about that place).

that said czech-tex is the best.... its a bit more expensive but worth it.

They both sound like a$$holes. So why would you go all the way to Sommerville when you can get the same thing in Snook?

And they aren't that good really. Just big.

Last time I ate at Czech-Tex I had the Flat Iron steak and it was bad ass but so is their Angus ribeyes. Also they have badass Kolach's too. Also they have fried dill pickles if you never tried them it good. Good pies as well.

Wow Amazing :undecided:

My former roommate used to glob ranch on onion rings. I want to taste the food not the sauce. Good guy but I always thought fried food and ranch was weird.

I like fried foods with chili sauce :gig:

That is not the point & you know that. Ranch is more widely used in the south.

Where did I say Californians were yankees?

I'm saying Dustin is a hippie
Ranch isn't as Texan as he thinks (its actually pretty univeral in the USA)
This meaning I'm not a yankee

Thanks :gig:
