I got in on the $100 woot deal on a refurbed zune. Since i washed my nano i felt the need to go bigger. So i did and i was just waiting around on perfect deal to come around. Well...this came up monday and it was an impulse buy :D

I started seeing reports on the woot blog about how the refurbs were crapping out, some not charging, or the zune being registered to someone else. I was getting worried. Well it came in today, and had a huge dent in the packaging box from fedex..great luck huh? I charged it up and am playing with it now. I do gotta say I hated Itunes with a passion...its interface was clunky and horrid to look at. As well as when i imported all my songs in the first time with itunes it converted all the song titles to "take my breath away" by berlin. I was pissed and it took a month to get under control. With the zune it found my whole library and didn't screw it up. Overall i'm liking the zune, its different not having the touch wheel and i'm getting used to it. And i'm getting used to the size of the sucker; i miss the nano's size. but i do like the case being made out of a composite rubber/plastic that won't show scratches as it gets older. Overall i'm pretty impressed with this. Usually i'm sketchy going towards MS but i'm surpised its worked so far, and doubles as a good paper wieght. :gig:

nov 13... you will also get a new zune application which looks radically different.

im probably gonna get one of the new zune 4 models when they come out... ive had the big versions in the past but want something smaller and more portable.

I almost dropped the hammer on that thing last night but I resisted. Going to get the 160 gig ipod instead. One day. I still have about 8 gigs to go on my 80 gig ipod.

u actually want one? i did buy one (couldnt resist for that price) halfway thinking somebody i know would want it since these woot deals ususally end fast (brothers, friends, etc) and if nobody did i was gonna use it and leave it in my car since it will have wifi sync in a month it will work great as a car player and keep the zune 4 for my everyday listening.

got my zune 4 today... from the originals site. Overall I am very very impressed. The thing is damn near perfect weight/size. The thing is actually smaller than I thought it would be but it works very well for being a small player (the zune pad is excellent and runs circles around the ipod nano).

I got the premium headphones with it (doesnt come with them... the zune 80 does) and they are the best headphones Ive ever used under $150 (they retail for $40). They sound great and for the first time ever I have found in-ear headphones that are very comfortable to wear.

Sound quality is excellent and kinda surprising... a big difference to my friends nano (my friend now wants to sell his nano to get a zune like mine).

Overall I give it a 97/100... highly recommended here.
